I saw BB with open-box excellent LG CX 77 for $2185, decided to go in to test my luck.
There was a fair condition (usually missing stand, power cable, or remote) for $1960 at a different store.

asked nicely to power on the TV. He was very kind, pulled it out of the box and plugged it in for me. It showed 0 hour used!!!!

I kindly asked the rep if he can check with the manager to see if he can lower the price.
The manager came out, he said, it's going to be hard b/c this is heavily discounted already. He then asked if I would buy the protection plan, I said "sure, if it's not too expensive". He then dropped the price by $185 to $2000, the protection plan for 2 years was $240 (extra $55 for 2 years of protection.

I went ahead and bought it. So I basically got a brand new LG OLED CX 77 for $2240 with 2 years protection or $2185 w/o Good luck hunting!!!

hours used check: Settings> Support> TV Information

other sizes are discounted too

Is $2295 for an open box certified worth it?

I checked one of these out in fair condition. Scuffs on the bezel and 2 dead pixels in the middle of the screen and 2 that are stuck on grey.

They said that if another pixel was out, they could warrany replace through LG. Eventually decided no thanks.

They don't just replace the screen because there are high hours... There has to be something wrong with the screen due to manufacturing defect
Wrong! I always take my car to the dealership and have them replace the engine and tranny right before the warranty is up laugh out loud

*sarcasm*

Just be careful and check the hours on the TV...purchased an open box excellent which states all accessories were included on a Sony 55 OLED last week for $925...took it home and remote was missing, drove back following day and they were able to find a replacement remote, went home and checked the hours and it had over 5,500 hours on thee unit, that's almost an entire year at 12 hours a day...will be returning the unit
Had the same experience with the Sony (except usage hours was a whopping 8000). I don't know if it's the same with LG, but with Sony you have to enter the service menu to find the actual hours.

no LG's near me, but there's a Sony A80J 77" for $3,115, wonder if I can get them to sell it to me at that price with the BB warranty 🤔

What that manager did when he asked if you would buy the warranty is called in-boarding, and is illegal. How do I know, Best Buy told me when I worked there. IF you were to bring it up that's one thing, but that manager could be written up for that behavior.

I'm not saying I'm against the method, as it gets the price lower, just it isn't supposed to happen like that. In any case, the plan is returnable for 14/30 days at full price, pro-rated afterwards. Stores HATE just a service plan being returned

Between the BX and CX lines is there a huge difference? I am seeing A7 vs A9 processor which may be a big deal (unsure). Can't find much else and both get rave reviews on Rtings.com. I mainly ask because the 65" BX is available and the CX is not so much

*edit*
Looks like a big negative vs the CX at least on Rtings is that it may not get as bright. Also it mentions stutter with naturally low fps content, but I'm not sure if the Cx has no issues with that or not.

Lots of hours isn't always a bad thing. It can really show that components are good and burn-in is unlikely.

I got a floor model Samsung 3D 75" several years ago. It's typically left on all the time, probably an average 20 hours a day, has even been left on for weeks at a time and is still going strong.

Can't those 0 hours be reset? I know projector hours for bulbs can be reset....maybe the tv can't?
