I'm also a little hesitant because they might mess up some of my discounts/credits by switching after hearing horror stories on here.
What is the real negative with switching to Magenta from the One Plus?
Last time I made a small change to my One plan I lost my free line and got some other charges. I got it all back but took a long time.

Isn't that what YMMV has come to mean? You something is on clearance at my store but not yours. We still say YMMV. Even though it's available to me but not you. Unless you drive a distance, and in this case it can be available if you change plans.
