No 2.1HDMI or VRR and only runs 60hz

Will be passing. Got excited for a moment. Although those missing features wouldn't be a big deal for non gamers. But at that price 120hz rate should be standard

The 65 CX is $1500 at Costco if you can find one.

I am guessing (no research) but this may be standard prize for a 60hz TV

Seems like a good deal if 1. It's in a basement or non-windowed area 2. Not obsessed with the Series X/PS5 features

Is that in every store or a regional thing?

I can't say for sure but looking at the price tag in store (photo attached) I believe it is.

So in a few years when the PS6 comes out that can actually play 4K120 you will be ready?

4K120 on current gen consoles is basically only marketing. You will not be playing at 4K120 with all effects on with modern titles. Same on PC.

HD 120fps is preferable over 4K 60fps for a lot of games. I play rocket league and the difference when I got the lg CX + Xbox series X last year was very noticeable. When I visit my parents and have to play on 60fps it feels so wrong and takes a couple days to adjust
