Anyone know about the power brick that is included? Size, weight?

The one thing I wish was different is the DC-in port location. Right in the middle of the side? Why not on the back so it is out of the way?

plus i get 18 hours on one charge. weights 30% less and holds its retail value.

edit: oh, and MBA destroys this laptop in geekbench scores. thx for pointing that out!
No it doesn't. Obviously you didn't even look.

Oh, and as far as holding retail value, wait until the M1X (or M2) comes out and see how many people want your Gen 1 chip. LMAO

meh, just got an M1 macbook air for $1k with 512gb. aside from the OLED screen, the MBA destroys this laptop in speed, power, and build quality. not to mention the design as well, even if the MBA is long in the tooth.
Maybe in 10 years some games will finally be compatible with that new architecture LMAO

um, MBA single core is 1703. what's this laptop? LMAO
Single core? You think macOS uses just one core?

Multi core this laptop is 9200 vs the MBA @ 7600. MBA destroyed! LMAO

oh, im sorry, u didnt mention the single core score. LMAO

and single core performance is more important than multi core performance for gaming. laugh out loudApplause
Man, you're really insecure about your MBA purchase there. It's OK, you bought a decent laptop. You don't need validation from others about it.

This price has been on bestbuy.com for a while now. Not sure why suddenly it became a deal.

Our community has rated this post as helpful. If you agree, why not thank

Upon researching this laptop I've discovered the following:
  • Poor battery life, average seems to be around 2 hrs regular use, 1 hr gaming
  • Control Center Software and AI is universally agreed to be horrible
  • Fans are loud and runs hot
  • Small touchpad
  • Wifi card problems from poor range, to intermittent connectivity, to slowness, to disconnects when under load. These are by far the most common complaint, with many people replacing the card
  • Nosecam
  • Few complaints the screen is too reflective, others say they get use to it
  • Handful of complaints of wobbly hinges (screen bounces when typing)

Overall a nice laptop for those who want a mix of gaming and creator tailored features

People finally noticed? I think it's a good price for what you get. I love the fact that it has an ethernet port, HDMI port, mini display port, etc. Not just a couple of USB - C ports and a USB - A port like most of the laptops come with these days. I just wish the power button was on the side / outside of this laptop so it can be turned on and off easily while it's docked.

My biggest concern is thermals too, my two previous two laptops run hot and I'd rather not have that. I know it's a trade-off when buying a "gaming"/"creator" laptop. But at least keep the thermals at a reasonable level while doing basic tasks.

I'm sure there's a way to throttle the CPU and switch from the graphics from nvidia to intel's onboard UHD for mundane tasks. That should keep the thermals lower and improve battery life.
