WAY Too slow. Really. Spend $5 more and get one a heck of a lot faster with xfers (R/W's).

REALLY.

2400/1950 is a joke.

It was $135 for a Sabrent gen 4 drive. Pay $35 more for double the speed.

Can you at least provide a product with "heck of a lot faster" for $5 more?

And what would the real world scenario of this compared to "heck of a lot faster"? One second, couple of seconds?

Not the drive for me (I need a DRAM cache), but this is plenty fast for most people.

Also props to the OP for providing literally every bit of relevant info in the post! All SSD posts should follow your lead and list the controller, NAND type, cache, and interface. Thank you and repped!

Major props to OP listing all the finer details.

If this price were about $20 lower, I'd have a hard time not recommending it, but since it it doesn't have a DRAM cache, unless you are doing basic computing, this isn't worth it.

The Samsung 970 Evo Plus (1TB) is currently on sale for $137 (normally $250) on Amazon: SAMSUNG (MZ-V7S1T0B/AM) 970 EVO Plus SSD 1TB - M.2 NVMe Interface Internal Solid State Drive with V-NAND Technology https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07MFZY...9WCJ5584MJ

Samsung Controller and NAND, with cache and much better speeds (up to 3500MB read and up to 3300MB write).

All this being said, do your research and make an informed purchase, as ADATA and Western Digital have both been caught swapping components on their SSDs, which essentially makes it a whole different product that what is advertised based on performance. Samsung is known for decent SSDs, but I figured I'd throw that out there so anyone reading this can make a more informed decision.

Well damn, now I can't trust Samsung for SSDs either.

Was there like some kind of convention this year where Gigabyte, NZXT, WD, ADATA and Samsung just decided to collectively ruin their reputation?

Make what I said earlier doubly important: do thorough research and make an informed decision on ALL of your component purchases. It's not enough to take the word of anyone anymore, especially not reviews.
