This is a pretty good deal for a 1TB drive, much less an NVMe drive

+$10 gets you into WD Blue territory. Not a lot of extra money when you're going to use something for many years.

It is a fair deal. The MSRP ($229) is wildly inflated. NVMe deals are everywhere nowadays. No need to hurry especially if you care about performance (this one has no DRAM)

Seems like a good price. I paid $110 for another brand last year.

From what I understand this is essentially a WD Blue with a different brand sticker from a flash and controller standpoint. The Blue is also not as good as it used to be.

So if $10 for a different sticker is worth it, I suppose you could go that route.

Depends on if you are talking the 550 or the newer 570.

Just want to add my 2 cents here. We bought 42 of these a year ago. Most have around 10tb writes. 18 of the drives have died. I don't recommend these to anyone.

I highly recommend WD Black SN750/850 NVME and Samsung 970 SSD...if they are on sale. Otherwise, get wutever is cheap and 500GB-1TB...you will NEVER use them to it's TBW limits for home use.

Actually OD/OM has Western Digital Blue SN550 NVMe Internal Solid State Drive, 1TB, WDBA3V0010BNC-WRSN Item # 3562854 for $84 and it has been at this price for quite a while.. if you have rewards from bateries or ink recycling, it is a great use of the rewards.. Free shipping on orders of $45.. They also have the 512 gb for $43 Item # 9914900..

I bet my son can. I check the status of computers in my house every now and then. Always use to seeing 98% or better health, his is showing 1% with couple hundred TBW. Never seen 1% on a drive before. Although it is just a 250gb so it does require more deleting and installs.
