Hope so. All I wanted on the last one was physical buttons, adjustable color temperature and USB-C. Since I didn't get any of that, I'm sticking with my current Paperwhite and keeping my fingers crossed for the next one.

So, you want a Kindle Oasis at a Paperwhite price? I'd buy that but I'm not holding my breath. None of those features cost that much but those are premium features for their premium reader, not their mid-range reader. Maybe the Usb-c, though. Alot of people want to use wired headphones with this but can't.

Okay, I'll bite. Why would a lot of people need wired headphones for a Kindle paperwhite?

I guess they don't have Bluetooth headphones for the audiobooks. I'd personally just use my phone as it's far more convenient for audiobooks. Alot of reviews on Amazon just complained about it. I also don't mind micro-usb as I don't care about fast charging for a device that's battery life is measured in weeks. To each their own.

Pretty much? None of those features should be that expensive to implement. The earlier (cheap) Kindles had physical buttons, and I preferred them to the touchscreen. USB-C is, again, almost the exact same price as Micro USB.

It's just annoying that features that would cost almost nothing to add are locked behind a device that's more than double the price.

what annoys me more about the Kindle is the inability to create collections outside the device, arrange books per collections and sync to device. At one time they allowed you to do so via their website but it was only restricted to books purchased there or sent via email. I have a vast collection of offline books managed via Calibre and I'd prefer to categorize them nicely in the tool, then sync via USB.

Kobo can do that nicely and I'm just puzzled why the Kindle is such a pain.
