On a serious note, I have these in my cart on Amazon and was going to pick up two pair. Saw one review where the coating peeled. So I thought let me check Amazon for other classes.

So as an example how are these b i r c e n glasses any better than this one?

MERRY'S Unisex Polarized Aluminum Sunglasses Vintage Sun Glasses For Men/Women S8286 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01M311...J4TKD3WZBA

The ones I linked are just under $13. There's no discount on them. Plastic frame with an aluminum leg. Same polarization as the ones in the deal.

Makes me think the bircen were not really worth 30 bucks to begin with?

I have a few pair of bircen from past deals and they seem like by far the best bang for your buck. The aluminum frame ones are the best though, usually any with carbon fiber components have plastic everywhere else. Still decent.

I would say that no glasses are worth over $30, bircen and merry's at $15 is what sunglasses should cost. As for a comparison, bircen has an aluminum frame holding the glass and the hinge has a spring which makes them more comfortable.

I purchased one set after I saw your post. I'm going to purchase another set. When I had two sets of glasses in my cart, the 10% only apply to one pair.

You have to place two separate orders if you want two separate 10% discounts

Edit:

I tried to order a second pair and it would not accept the promo code. So I guess I have to order two pairs at the same time to get the promo on on both pairs. But I'll only get the 10% on one pair.

The Amazon site is goofy. When I looked at my cart I only got the 10% off one of the two pairs. So I emptied out my cart. But based on what I posted above, I had to order two pair at the same time and this time I did get the $2.99 off per pair. Came to $25.11 before tax.

MERRY'S are awesome! supper sturdy and the metal is great! I have 4 pairs and highly recommend them
