Yes! I got one last year for $99 its great but pain in the butt heavy. I curse every time I haul it out and am waiting for a deal on a 6 - 8 ft ladder that is better 9 out 10 times for my needs

Are these models still extremely heavy? I use to have one, it was so cumbersome I told myself in the future is rather by two separate style ladders than one of these gargantuan behemoth's.

Get an alum standard extension 24 ft ladder you will be glad you did when cleaning the gutters or climbing on the roof

Thanks for the video! Looks like no extra purchase needed. The J lock to lock the steps when you extend the ladder, also serves as the mechanism to lock the two outer sleeve legs together. Neat design.

Though I would have liked a ladder to reach the gutters on a two story home, you can't beat this price at this time. Just purchased!

Just bought a smaller Little Giant ladder (17ft) from Costco for $190. Glad I didn't use that yet and will be returning it to get this. Thanks!

I bought mine at Costco about 15 years ago at that price. Quality product.

What ladders are on sale on bf (length-wise)?
Debating whether to buy this or if a 24' would be better

Why not use it without the two outer legs until you need it.

How does this compare to the Gorilla Ladder? Do both weight around the same? Is one better than the other? Thanks

I bought this at the $99 price last year and I couldn't be happier with it. I got rid of my old extension ladder. I have a split foyer home and I use this when changing the light bulbs in the foyer ceiling fan, hanging Christmas lights, cleaning windows, and pressure washing the siding. The 22' "reach" is nice and extends a bit farther than friends' ladders of this same style. It is what I would call a little heavy, but less cumbersome than my old extension ladder.

Gorilla is 3 lbs lighter for whatever that's worth ($179…so is 3lbs savings worth $50?)

Never mind. The Gorilla I was looking at is IA, this is IAA.

This weighs 40 lbs. The same size Gorilla is 37 lbs and is on sale for $180.

I personally like the aluminum J hooks on the Werner vs. the plastic twist knobs on the Gorilla. I think the Gorilla also needs extra parts to make it twin ladders for scaffolding. Werner does not.

Unless you workout everyday, the 24'is very very heavy

I got the gorilla 18 ft reach ladder a few years back when it was like 90 bucks. I ended up being a bit short from the second floor gutters. Would this be worth it or should i look for the 24ft reach. At the time i didnt understand the "reach" part. So i was bummed out to find a shorter ladder and also didnt account for the angle taking off some height. Dont wanna make the same mistake.
It'll vary based on your particular architecture, but a typical American 2-story will have 2' of foundation, 8' ceiling, 1' floor structure, and another 8' ceiling - putting those second story gutters about 19' up from the ground.

This ladder when fully extended is only 19' tall. It most likely ain't gonna work.

Yes.... If you have to work off a ladder all day where a step ladder will work, these adjustable ladders do not have wide enough steps to be comfortable. The only time I use the OP is for stairs and sometimes steps, but if going to be on it a long time, a step ladder and a walk board across to a step. For taller heights, it is a fiberglass extension ladder that is a lot easier to rope up the extension, or a bucket lift. This one you have to open up on the ground and manhandle it around shrubs or whatever.

And for a two story house, with the required lean this will not work for a lot of them where the foundation varies out of the ground with yard slope, etc. I hate getting on a roof where the ladder is just a foot or so above the edge. A 28' or so gives you a hand hold to just step off to the roof.
