As far as moisture and humidity, I think you should be good. There shouldn't be enough moisture to accumulate and short any components out.
If it is sealed and covered, of course you would be good, but if it is only covered, I would go for a purpose built outdoor TV, mostly due to little critters loving the extra warmth that will come from the power supply and screen.

Just get a dongle. Built in apps are sometimes slower and eventually lose support anyway.

We do not use the smart TV feature. We just use it with a Fire TV.
I use TV mainly for watching movies and TV shows.
