That's about the poorest rating you can get on a flat screen from rtings. Movies and gaming are awful. And peak brightness in the 260 nit range is a joke. It has lousy black levels, and cannot get bright.
Remember people, HiSense is a brand owned by the Chinese government, it is not even a private company.
I prefer a VA panel. Better contrast and blacks will be black, not dark grey as in IPS.

Is the 70 inch an IPS panel or a VA panel? RTNGS doesn't have the information, but $550 for a 70 inch IPS panel is killer.

In the "Differences Between Sizes and Variants" section of the Rtings review it states that the 70" has a VA panel.

It says they "likely" have a VA panel but they didn't test them so they can't be sure

This is what i see when buying a TV at BBuy:
"Delivery $80.00"
Was not always like that.
A few TVs at Walmart i kinda glanced had shipping charges.

With Fedex and other raising shipping costs next Jan1,
pretty sure the future is shipping charges.

Short story: If your going to buy a Tv or other heavy item, consider doing it before shipping charges go mainstream

only 60hz display. ps5 can take advantage of a 120hz tv.

It's basically "you get what you paid for" deal. 70 inch for $550.....this is as basic as it can be.

I've never understood some people's dislike for VA panels due to their limited viewing angles.
I'm guessing all of their family members and neighbors gather around the TV to watch a program as they did in the 1950s !!

You have to get an extended warranty on these bottom of the barrel parts bin sets. When the timing control board overheats and goes out, right outside of your lousy manufacturer warranty, you have a huge $550 paperweight. I've repaired many TCLs that did the same thing. The only saving grace was that parts were cheap on eBay because of the volume of sets being parted out.
