That's about the poorest rating you can get on a flat screen from rtings. Movies and gaming are awful. And peak brightness in the 260 nit range is a joke. It has lousy black levels, and cannot get bright.

I prefer a VA panel. Better contrast and blacks will be black, not dark grey as in IPS.

I think that applies to the IPS panels. The VA panels should perform much better.

They did the same deal with the Sony 850F & 850G. All models except for the 85" had crappy IPS panels and they only reviewed the IPS panel.

I Remember when prices like this used to be a great deal for a 70 inch off brand tv, I think that was back in 2015.... But maybe people should go ahead and buy now, because it might be a while before prices come back down again, just last year you could get a 70 inch TV for $400 or less daily....but in a couple of years with the way things are going, a deal for a 70 inch might be 800 or so....so get them while you can at this price, I guess

I was in Walmart the other day and was pretty floored by the prices of TVs, I haven't looked at their prices in about a year and most have gone up at least $100, even for the small ones.... But then again everything has, milk there is almost a dollar more than last year, cheese is almost a dollar more, meat is up....basically prices on everything are....so strap in folks, it's going to be a bumpy ride for awhile

It may. When you take the back off on these sets, you'll see they are truly disposable tvs. The boards are tiny. There's nothing to them. Everything is value engineered for high volume and low cost.

550 for a 70" in 2015? That doesn't seem accurate. Maybe my memory is wrong, but it seems like that would have been one heck of a deal back then.

A few TVs at Walmart i kinda glanced had shipping charges.

With Fedex and other raising shipping costs next Jan1,

Good tv to hang in the garage for workouts? Wondering if the 60Hz will be an issue running a program that displays 4K video on actual locations while hooked to a bike trainer. The video advances based on how fast you ride. I would need to stream video either through computer, phone or Apple TV

You can buy entry level sets, just get them at Costco with the Costco Visa. TCL and Hisense warranties are useless. Even the Sonys and Samsung's break down. The 5 year warranty is worth the extra $100 or so IMO from Costco.

Don't count on Black Friday deals. CA docks of which ⅓ of all US shipping flows through are backed up. Retailers and manufacturers are forecasting lower sales numbers because of this. The deals may not be plentiful.
