well, technically 4 1-gallon milk jugs fit in a milk crate that is about 1ft cubed. so, if should be able to hold about 12 1-gallon milk jugs.

I have been using large Akro bins. They don't crack when frozen and they allow me to separate the various food types.

They do use up a bit of space though.

Who wants/needs a freezer in a dorm room where you have no kitchen?

I could maybe see value in this, putting into a corner of my kitchen to hold excess meat etc. But I mean... for not a whole lot more you can get a full size to put in the garage. And I bet you have to manually defrost this sucker every 6-12 months.
