Yup, this is not slick and in no way a deal, this is pretty much standard price and you can get it at times lower.

This is the old series, the new one is the "Tough System 2.0" not sure if they are compatible or not.

TSTAK and Tough System are not an old and new style they are two totally different systems and not compatible, just so you know.

Stanley Black & Decker owns DeWalt, Bostitch, Stanley, Black & Decker, Irwin, MAC, Proto, Lenox, Craftsman, Porter Cable, and several others.
Most of the common tool brands found in the US are owned by a handful of larger companies now. It's especially funny seeing Milwaukee, Ryobi, Ridgid, and Hart owners fight over brand superiority, when all four are owned by TTI.

100% compatible, have to wait for a sale though. Better than the Stanley or DeWalt versions https://www.lowes.com/pd/CRAFTSMA...1000578377

Nothing on sale at the moment, but Lowes and Sears carry the Craftsman Versaline stuff, 100% compatible the TSTAK. https://youtu.be/b7i__653fSc

They can still engineer/spec/manufacture them to different quality levels. Cadillac and Chevrolet aren't 100% the same even if they are both owned by GM.
