I purchased today and was able to get an additional $100 off through the Samsung cancel trick.
This was $3059.99 2 months ago from Samsung via their EPP site. I'd wait to see if it drops to roughly $3k again soon. Likely around Black Friday.

Is it worth waiting 3.5 months to possibly save 4% more? Not to me.

Got this TV the last sale for $2959.99, but that required purchase of some buds+ for additional $81 which is still in the box unopened. It's a nice upgrade from a 65" LG C8 OLED which was struggling with glare and bright windows in a big well lit room. The 85" still looks too small from a viewing distance of 20 feet. They just announced a 98" version... That may or may not drop the MSRP on these 85" as they will no longer be their flagship in the lineup

FYI if you are truly sitting 20 feet from this 85-inch set, your eyes are actually not seeing any better of a picture than 1080p set could produce due to limitations of the human eye. You're actually seeing somewhere below 1080p with 20/20 vision, and a maximum of 1080p with 20/10 (very rare) vision. Now, that is just speaking to resolution. Brightness, etc are completely separate considerations.

They shipped this via a company called AGS. Mine has been in picked up status since September 3.
AGS was good for me. i asked the two delivery guys if they can setup this 85 incher for me if I pay them and they agreed. They opened it, put the tv stand on and put it on tv stand, and moved the current 75 inch q90r to bedroom as well. They were happy for handsome tip and I was happy for not dealing with 85 inch tv to set it up

Got 85 inch qn90a few months back as well for under 3k including taxes factoring in cancel trick and rk10 cb.
My viewing distance is 14 ft and I'm glad I upgraded from 75 to 85 inch!

Although I received my tv a week ago I only tonight got to really put it through its paces with some 4k hdr content on YouTube. Wow! For a lot of the city walks it's like your right there in person. This tv definitely gives OLED a run for its money. The only fail I found was, of course, the starfield, but everything else was truly stunning.

I have the 85" from the last slick deal. It is far superior to my 5 year old 65" oled and was a worthy upgrade for sure. One thing to note, I had to buy an older remote to access the service menu because there is a local dimming bug that reduces the brightness on a lot of sets unless it is soft powered down. You can tell you are having the bug if you go into the setting and adjust local dimming and it makes no difference.

There are lots of reviews and comparisons on YouTube, so knock yerself out there. Basically neo qled uses lots of mini leds behind the screen. These provide a brighter picture than standard leds and allow for many more dimming zones. This results in a picture with both high brightness and high contrast. On the down side, because 1000's of pixels are illuminated by each dimming zone you may see some blooming along bright-dark edges. OLED doesn't have this problem but the picture isn't as bright. Also OLED doesn't have a problem with off-axis picture degradation, although this Samsung is very good in that respect.

Ultimately your choice of tv depends on how and where you use it, as well as your budget. You won't get an 85" OLED for $3k, and 77" is obviously quite a bit smaller than 85".

Not to mention there is no chance of burn in the Neo QLED. OLED on the other hand...

Is this expired? I accessed with my edu account, and am seeing a discounted price of $3439.99 on the QN85QN90AAFXZA.

Am I doing something wrong?
