Since most people are using these in the dark, that may be a benefit. Warm lights attract less bugs. The cooler the light and closer to the blue spectrum the more insects you are going to attracts. There is a reason bug zappers have blue lights on them. That being said, I see you find the yellow tone to be very yellow and not so much a warm yellow. If that is the case, thanks for sharing that with everyone here and helping them become more informed.

Maybe I'm not being clear. I'm not looking for a cooler/bluer light.
Here's the deal. Incandescent bulbs, with a CRI of 100, even when producing a warm "yellowish" light, are still outputting a wide array of "colors". It's a very natural, pleasing light. When cheap LED's like these are producing a warm white it is a "yellow" light, and is producing just that color...yellow. If you like that, great. I don't. Some LED's have a higher CRI and can output a realistic representation of an incandescent warm white. I still use incandescent string lights because I haven't found one that has a pleasing warm white incandescent light "color".

You wouldn't notice the difference. Trust me. I do have lights that are 22 inches apart but it doesn't make that much difference once you have them.

Thanks!

Those are $50 at the moment. Not a slick deal at all. Why would these be the main comparison product?

Safe to put over water? Like a pool maybe?
Does anyone really know what the deal is with the low voltage?! The reason I ask is I want to wrap a pergola with the lights which is over a hot tub. I have a gfi plug but am concerned what would happen if the line somehow fell into the water! I'm guessing the low voltage would save your life??

In the supermarket I've seen people pick up a gallon of milk for $3.99 while right next to it the same 1/2 gallons were $1.69.

Amusing and sad.

Someone asked for the link.

Personally, I'd prefer buying from costco. Costco light is 2 ft apart compared to this 3ft apart. Costco light instore is 39.99 after 10 discount.

I bought a set for 17.99 on amazon and I LOVE them. I wrapped them around my pergola so you cant tell the bulbs are so far apart. They look great though! I aorted low price to high and found the 17.99 ones and they are super heavy duty.

George Carlin once said " think how dumb the average person is and then realize half of the population is dumber than that". So yes, I think you are exactly correct

Dang i missed it. So costco ones have 24 bulbs whereas these have 18? (2ft vs 3ft)

I wouldnt mind the yellowishness for $20. Hope they go on sale again soon. They would look real good on my deck.

Same here. I am returning them. I bought a 48-foot string and it had double the bulbs. That is what I thought I was getting since the picture looked like the one I had. Don't bother with this deal.
