The Samsung QN90A has one HDMI 2.1 port for VRR, ALLM, and 4K 120. This TV doesn't support Dolby Vision which most content providers are utilizing for their content. A lot of 4K Blu Rays support Dolby Vision as well. Xbox is supposedly going to utilize Dolby Vision for their games in the future. I read online that the other HDMI ports support 4K 120 without HDR, but I don't know how true that is.

The LG OLED 65" offers Dolby Vision, and 4 HDMI 2.1 inputs among other things. The LG OLED A series is limited to 4K60, and it has 3 HDMI 2.0 inputs. The LG OLED B series has two HDMI 2.1 inputs, and the C series/G Series has 4 HDMI 2.1 inputs. HDMI 2.1 is mostly important if you want to utilize those features for gaming.

I currently have the LG CX 77", and I ordered the QN90A 65" to test it out. I don't know if you truly need VRR for console gaming. I own the Xbox Series X and PS5, and I never noticed screen tearing. I mainly played games at 4K 60 on my older Sony 4K, and gaming felt fine. We can chat more about it if you like, but OLEDs and QLEDs appeal to different markets. If you want pure blacks without blooming and the extra gaming features, go with the LG OLED. If you want higher brightness that will make HDR content pop, go with the QN90A. Lastly, with the QN90A you don't have to worry about burn in. It's ideal if you play the same game all of the time or view the same type of content.

If you order this, don't forget the cancel trick to save an additional $100. After you place your order, attempt to cancel it. Select delivery issue or whatever the option is, and it should offer you a discount. I missed the cancellation window, and I chatted with CS so they could apply the $100 refund to my order. Good luck!

Best Buy rep was correct in this case.
What sucks about today's times if that this is the same price I believe from Black Friday. My coworker got this TV and is very happy with it.

Edit: I found a picture of his TV and it was the Q90T and not the Q90A, so not a bad deal.

How is this compared to LG OLED 65"? Price is in similar range on sale sometimes.

Not a problem! Glad I could help. My wife has been listening to me talk about TVs for the past several months so I'm glad I could share my findings with others. Good luck with your new TV purchase.

I mentioned that I wanted to cancel the order due to scheduling conflict. I thought it was going to arrive next week instead of two weeks. They verified my order, and offered me the discount with a ticket number. Once the order shipped, I contacted them with the ticket number and they refunded $100 to my account. The whole process took maybe 10 ten minutes. I chatted with them on Samsung.com so I wouldn't have to call them.
