  • Venmo Instructions:
    1. Open Venmo App (Android or iOS)

    4. Accept Permissions
    5. Click "Save for Later"
    6. Under Profile, select QR code symbol
    7. Click "Show to Pay" to being up your QR Code

The offer is valid from 6-7-2021 to 9-10-2021 and only to the first 50,000 people. They don't give you the discount right at the cash register... they give you a $20 credit at some point in the future *if* you are the first 50,000. So it's impossible to know if you are going to get the $20 or not. Back when they had the $10 back on a $20 transaction, I had to contact the Better Business Bureau to get the $10 from PayPal. I advise you to steer clear of this one; PayPal doesn't have the best reputation at fulfilling promotions like this.

Got $30 from my verified PayPal and just signed up for Venmo for the extra $20. For me, not so sure about Venmo so left it unverified and just linked a cc. No charges or credits show up on either on Venmo nor cc for a DoorDash $20 gc which I've already used. I'm quite intrigued how they consolidated processing producing a stealth transaction!

Tomorrow may be a different story but I just got back from a CVS, got in 10 min before closing and was able to still find Amazon gift cards and had no problem checking out with the cashier since my store didn't have self checkout for me to try what another user suggested for paying at self checkout. Walked to my car then checked my email and had confirmation from both Venmo and Paypal regarding the discount.

The cashier apparently had lots of experience with people paying with the qr/barcodes and even out loud asked what was up with so many people coming in to buy 2 gift cards. Another cashier said everyone is either getting scammed or their giving away money. I didn't give them too many details since it's already unavailable for anyone trying to get the offers now but just said yeah it's a promo.

PayPal didn't work as register gave a time out error. Maybe it's store specific. Venmo did work.

Just tried venmo with a newly made account and added new card info, got an error message saying offer is no longer available. So I guess deal reached 50000 already ?
Also did paypal which worked and received 10.00 almost immediately.

edit 1# tried to scan deal after updating my venmo profile (ssn , address, etc) no chsnge still get "offer is no longer available " message.

Same happened with me for venmo. Now it says promo already used in venmo 😐
