Overall, this is a killer laptop if you don't mind the blur or smaller trackpad vs other premiums.

Agreed….if you're not pushing 120 frames why would you need 120hz. Just to see the same frame twice?
Well if you don't need the better video card and you're ok lugging the HP around, then save the money. The Asus will be better for gaming and is much more portable.
Which one? Link please
1650 isn't really a gaming gpu tbh

Was going to say I got the same card in April in a Lenovo for under $680 out the door (tax and shipping). Has a Ryzen 4600H, but that's rarely the limiting reagent when I'm gaming. (I did add RAM from an old laptop however.)
Does fine, but it's no speed demon. At this price I'd want a little more cow^H^H^H gpu.
I think my favorite for the buck (if you can find for !000) is the Acer Swift X, which is also a 14" laptop.
Bottom line... what are your needs?
I want a 120hz screen, ryzen processor and at least a 3050Ti and I want to spend less then $1000.... The Acer screen is only 60Hz
Link pls. 3050 ti with faily similar specs for $100 more. This one has far too many compromise.
