Pretty sure these are locked to boost for 12 mo but still a decent price for the 12 pro max if you're a Boost customer.

New iPhones announced on Tuesday, probably best to wait until after that time to buy a 12 series.

Highly doubt the 12 pro max will go lower than $800 even after the launch. There's literally zero precedent for this looking at previous iPhone launches. The hope would be that other carriers match this price so you're not locked to Boost for a year.

from what I understand, gavey and rsim use the same technology, try it, if it doesnt work, return it or use it on the cheapest plan for 12 months

Which rsim did you use? I bought two of those cheap xr coral and my rsim unlocked both

Rsim 13 has worked for my with those cheap xr deals. It's an actual physical SIM card. Regarding the e-sim…I am not sure if that gets unlocked. I read maybe 2 or 3 posts that mentioned the e sim worked but I am not sure
