Make sure you keep a screenshot of your order summary where it mentions the gc. Knowing comcast you won't get anything and the horrible CS will ask you to cancel your service.

I've gotten multiple gift cards from XM without issue in deals like this. Last year the two I got with the iPhone 12 Pros came in like a month. It used to be 12-16 weeks and took every bit of that. Even though this isn't a significant upgrade for me, it's really tempting.

Nope. If you're a new customer and porting in - you get it as "bill credits over 24 months". If you terminate early, you lose the discount over the remaining period ($15 per month x number of months remaining); you'll effectively be paying full price less the number of months that you actually got the $15/mth discount.

If you are a new customer and want to get the GC instead of bill credits

1) Port in as a new customer with your existing phone (BYOD)
2) After line ported in, ask for upgrade; you pay the full price ($729 for the iPhone 13 mini and so on).
3) Anywhere between 4 - 12 weeks after, you'll get a $300 gift card.
4) After 60 days service and paying at least one billing cycle - you can request unlock of the iphone.
5) After unlocking + getting the GC : you can cancel service or continue as you wish.

I purchased 4 phones but the status shows only $300 gift card which is strange. I guess I will wait for a few days and will call them if status doesn't change. I was hoping to get one card for $1200 all together.

My $300 GC was qualified

The things I did as existing customer
Activated first day I got the phone, requested unlock for the phone on day one. It got unlocked the next day, removed my sim and placed it back into my old phone.

Waited the 15 days while using my old phone.

I did not open the package yet. Few days after receiving my new phone, I called xfinity to return and was told that they need to activate it first, then deactive in order to process a return.
After that I changed my mind and want to keep it. I have assumed that since the phone has been activated by agent from xfinity, I do not have to open the package to do a real activation?

I had to set it up as a new phone, I bought it for another family member. I went to reset the phone after I activated and unlocked it for them.

It says "offer ends 10/21". I want to buy iPhone 11, but currently it is backordered, and the expected delivery date is 11/05. If I ordered now and get it on 11/05, am I still eligible for $300?

I did an upgrade order to an SE on Sep. 19 and activated on the 23rd. I requested unlock on Oct 14 after seeing posts about being approved without meeting the 60-day requirement. Indeed, Xfinity unlocked my phone on the 15th. I currently have it working on Xfinity physical SIM and Mint 7-day trial eSIM.

I upgraded another line to an SE on Oct 9, at a store in Delaware (no sales tax there although I would have preferred an 11 on that line but the store didn't have the 11 in stock). I'll request an unlock on the 2nd SE too.

What reason Xfinity accepted for unlock? And was it on chat or call?

Live call. I told the CS rep that I wanted to use the phone simultaneously on Xfinity and another carrier on the eSIM.

I again got shot down. Maybe you guys have existing lines with Xfinity, 2 lines I have are just added as part of this offer so they won't budge on 60 day for me!
