Random T-Mobile numbers are getting this error message after entering phone number and SSN. "We're sorry, there was an issue processing your request. Please try again later." This is also happening on Apple's websites to those same numbers having the issues. T-Mobile is trying to fix the issue, but does not have an ETA.
So did some math and realized it's not really any great deal. (Good deal so far but you find better deals later if you are no in a hurry).

Pre-ordered yesterday 09/23/2021 around 10 AM.
got a text an email this morning saying its ready to pick up.( was kinda surprised about this , but ig because this best buy has less people preordered , or got more stock , im in missouri)
I backed up my old phone to my computer . and reset the phone.
Got to best buy( I was one of the first 3 people there so i got help right away) , the guy asked me for my order number and name, then told me to get with a lady.
the entire pick up was about 15 mins, she asked for my id , then my old phone, she spent most of the time input stuff into the system. I confirmed on the machine my info is correct. she handed me the new iphone new in box with a sim card on top. I asked if she need to activate the phone or anything and she said no , when i put in the phone it should activate it self. got the phone and the receipt , now im heading home.
She didnt open the new phone box at all , she didnt ask if I need to transfer my old phone data to the new phone ( might be she noticed my old phone got reset)
Only do it if you have a iPhone 8 or below.
Not worth $700/800 after all the hassle that you have to go through.

These carriers are not in business to give out free/discounted phones. Unfortunately people believe some of reps (TMo, BB, etc) that tells them otherwise. They will find out in a month or two when they get their bills!
Comparing to the deals which require specific plans or 24/30 months bill credits is like comparing apples to oranges.
I upgraded all our lines from iPhone 12 Pro/pro max to 13 pro/pro max for $99/$125. its definitely worth it just for extra year warranty and newer battery
The good news is all 3 carriers need to finance their network 5G expansions, so the battle is on to offer competitive switching deals and lock people in.
I think this was the first time Apple mentioned carrier deals on stage during the launch already. In this saturated market they Need to push sales especially since barely anything they launch is really new or a killer feature. The 12 is just fine. We may have to wait and be patient and hope for a BF/CM deal or some holiday deals. I will not switch to the magenta max stuff for sure.
I can't remember when every major carrier offered these types of deals right off the bat.
Best Buy giving so much for a 12 pro is crazy.
There have been great deals with lower iPhone models but it was usually during blackfriday and Christmas. These deals are pretty good if you are on magenta max already.
I personally have simple choice and tmobile one on a separate account.
I did 2 of the Mother's Day deals for iPhone 12's by trading in iPhone 8's.
I kind of want to pull the trigger on a 13 pro max since I would only pay $200 plus taxes and fees after trading in a 12 pro to Best Buy
Was told that the One plan qualifies for the promotion and won't be forced to switch to the Magenta MAX.
If you're ok with the bill credit, which I am then it looks like T-Mobile is a better option. I'm upgrading 2 iPhone 11 Pro to a iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.
FWIT: I've been with T-MOBILE for 15+ years now. Not sure if this made a difference.

Did we not think this correctly? If there's similar promotion each year, it looks to be more cost efficient or marginal cost to renew upgrade every year by trading in.
Wasnt XR supposed to be inferior than X? XR was $750 base price while X was $999?
