For some, paying less now and in total, plus not worrying about the credits, is worth it.
Random T-Mobile numbers are getting this error message after entering phone number and SSN. "We're sorry, there was an issue processing your request. Please try again later." This is also happening on Apple's websites to those same numbers having the issues. T-Mobile is trying to fix the issue, but does not have an ETA.
So did some math and realized it's not really any great deal. (Good deal so far but you find better deals later if you are no in a hurry).

Im upgrading / trading my iphone 11 pro max .
Pre-ordered yesterday 09/23/2021 around 10 AM.
got a text an email this morning saying its ready to pick up.( was kinda surprised about this , but ig because this best buy has less people preordered , or got more stock , im in missouri)
I backed up my old phone to my computer . and reset the phone.
Got to best buy( I was one of the first 3 people there so i got help right away) , the guy asked me for my order number and name, then told me to get with a lady.
the entire pick up was about 15 mins, she asked for my id , then my old phone, she spent most of the time input stuff into the system. I confirmed on the machine my info is correct. she handed me the new iphone new in box with a sim card on top. I asked if she need to activate the phone or anything and she said no , when i put in the phone it should activate it self. got the phone and the receipt , now im heading home.
She didnt open the new phone box at all , she didnt ask if I need to transfer my old phone data to the new phone ( might be she noticed my old phone got reset)
Only do it if you have a iPhone 8 or below.
Not worth $700/800 after all the hassle that you have to go through.

I traded an iPhone 11 Pro Max, still under EIP (12 payments left) without any issue, whole process took about 10 minutes, I had already reset my iPhone 11 and picked up the new 13 Max Pro, activated at home with the SIM card which they gave me separately.
Well , I have that kind paper , but she only gave me the first page , even I can find that 1/3 page and Customer Copy on the top . First page only showed trade with value $520 with no additional $100 trade in credit there , I'm not sure on page 2 or page 3 , My order status showing order picked up , I will check my credit card statement if have something wrong and charge me additional $100 .

I still have three phones in the process , two of phone show Ready pick up for release date : Today , but it hasn't in process yet , one of phone status showing in process , but it doesn't have any date indicated for pick up .
You were lucky that they let you add an additional line because of the 55+ plan limits to 2 lines only that why I switched to the magenta to get more lines!

The store that I went to had 8 phone reps when the iPhone 12 launched. This year: only 1 rep because you know why.
STAY HOME if:
- Mysterious issue with your order.
- Issue with your account.
- Didn't get the pickup email.
=> Store rep can't help you with those issues.
=> Call your carrier, call BB support, call your sisters and brothers or whoever but please don't show up at the store on launch day and make other people waiting in line suffer for your little issue.
- Backup your darn phone and transfer the data yourself if possible. Again, it's launch day for the iPhone, don't let other wait in line because BB employee has to help you transfer your data. If you don't know how, hit google or youtube.

It took awhile but the nice lady was able to figured it out. If they're running into issue with their computer, please be patient. You can come back tmr if you're in a hurry. Don't pressure the employees. Be nice and be respectful.
