All of these "new phone" deals have hidden costs rolled into the plans they want you to sign up for. Speak with an agent and try to get a monthly bill estimate but be aware they lie too.

For example my account with ATT is flagged by CS reps because I'm grandfathered into a sweetheart deal. I get slammed with advertisements to switch and one CS rep even admitted my account was listed to receive special offers.

I pay $100 a month + $10 a line and get 25 gigs shared, hotspot and rollover. The rollover is so good I have never run out of data. The kicker is I have an TimeWarner discount of 30% that gets applied to the $100 service charge. All in I pay about 120 a month for 4 lines for my family.

If I "upgrade" for a new phone, even if I got a "free" $1000 new iPhone 13 pro my bill would jump to about $200 a month because the discount only gets applied to a single $50 dollar line and the plans themselves are just that much more expensive. Even worse, if I upgrade they will not honor the 30% TW discount as it changed. The agent refused to tell me one way or the other if the discount would be honored. I had to "switch to see if it gets applied"

All said an done, the savings on a new phone would evaporate after about a year of the new service and I'm now paying an extra 80 a month forever.

Be wary slick dealers. Don't let new phone sparkle blind you.

Nothing was wrong. At the store ", I was told not to worry about that and I should start seeing monthly credits in 2-3 billing cycles. What I would tell you is keep the receipt from store handy, you'll need it if they repeat this and you have to call them.

For those who ordered their phones from store to be shipped to their homes (because phones are not in stock in-store), do you have any proof that you are going to trade in your old phone once your new phones arrives? I have been told that I have one month to bring in my trade in once my new phone is shipped. Just checking if anyone have been told the same and I'm not getting a screwed here.

I ordered mine from ATT corporate store, and they told me that I could have ordered it from any other stores such as Apple, BestBuy. I do highly recommend turning your old phone back to a corporate ATT store, because they value the phone on the spot and they give you the paperwork. That way, you don't have to wait for a third party company to value your phone (heard/read many horror stories).
I called my store and they told me that I qualify for $1K trade-in because my new phone order happened before they dropped the trade in value to $800. They told me to remind this to the rep in store while accepting my trade in. I assume the rep checks a box or something. My new phone will be shipped at the end of this month so time will. Let's keep in touch and update each other.

Yea last time I tried to upgrade and was lied to and had to get BBB involved to get my money. After this time, I am not sure I'm going to do it again. I'm just going to trade in through apple and get a wee bit less.

I got my bill credits, but its all jumbled up because of the upgrade fee so the bill looks like there was no credits added. Maybe next month will show the actual prices.
