Had the bigger version. Started getting headaches so I stopped drinking this water. Headaches gone. GF started using it again and so did I. Headaches came back.

Said screw it, now have a water dispenser. Am happier.

Google zero water headaches.

I like Project Farm but sometimes you have to use your own judgement as to his standards for testing. Stuff like putting pliers into a press and breaking them on purpose. I would never do that in the real world. I'm only using them with my hands.
And as a Slickdealer, when he's talking about value for dollars, that generally all goes out the window too because I don't pay retail.
He rated Bosch Icon blades highest but I'm not paying $40 for a set of wiper blades because they'll last a few months longer than my $8 set of Trico Neoforms.
Link on the Trico Neoforms?

Having watched this video and bought another version of the ZeroWater filter and pitcher, what else should a person be filtering for in their water aside from Total Dissolved Solids (TDS)? Should a person be removing all dissolved solids from their water? This is what I think about as I drink water that tests 0 on the included tool.
magnesium and calcium are two good minerals for the body, coming from water : the others are trace, and arn't needed in higher quantities.

I'll stick to bottled water. No headaches here
No headache except for the small mountain of plastic you are accumulating while simultaneously paying more. Just buy a Hydroflask and install a filtration system in your sink. I haven't used a plastic bottle of water in years.

And where exactly are you getting this "spring water"? I worked for a major bottler, and all they do is bring water into the plant from a large valve (local tap water) run it through about 9 long filters, and then when they go to bottle it, they heat a plastic tube and spin it, the water is then introduced while the plastic has changed form and is still hot. How much of that hot plastic do you think seeps into the water?
Did you report them? That's fraudulent and could be messing with peoples health if they have an issue with the chemicals added to tap water.

I really like his channel for most of the tests he has done.

However in this case, having essentially distilled water is not really meaningful to high quality tasting water. You actually want minerals in your water, because they are a source of nutrients for your body and also makes it taste good. That is why bottled spring water sells well for drinking water, distilled water is used for non-drinking purposes.

I get it, we are all nerds and get off on raw stats on his tests, but in this particular case, 0 PPM isn't really meaningful to good tasting water.

FWIW lab result shows high microplastics from ZeroWater filter, opposite of ZeroWater marketing claim

"Surprisingly, one pitcher increased the number of microplastics to 437.4 particles — a 1,206% increase"

Coca Cola or Pepsi? They own Dasani and Aquafina (not the actress awkwafina, smh), which is simply the water without the cola.

I was thinking similarly. ZeroWater filters are definitely good at what they do. But my understanding is they also have a short lifespan and are costly. Additionally, the trace minerals in water end up being useful to the body usually. But for folks who have decent potable water, I don't know if TDS 0 makes sense, I should try checking the TDS content of various bottled waters for reference.

I have heard of folks in some spots like Arizona who despite using carbon based water filtration, their water still tastes so terrible they only drink bottled water.

My tap water has a lot of iron, so the taste is meh, but is otherwise good to drink, adding in a 2 stage filter to my sink fixed that issue.

I got the Zero water and used it for a while. If you drink lots of water. I would say don't get this. The filter does not last long and once it dies the water turn sour. Just search Zero Water Sour on google, it will take you to their company FAQ that says you need to replaced the filter. The filter price is not that bad but if one only last about 2 weeks and you can't really use it beyond it failure date because the water taste sour. Then the cost of these filters does add up quickly. So I would consider the long term use as well. Either way I returned mine, it is not worth it.

Hmm, I do like the idea of a water quality meter if it works well. I have a Brita Pitcher and honestly I don't realize I need to change the filter until it starts tasting weirder and weirder, don't use it enough to justify doing it every 2 months like their suggestion.
