I'm still firmly in the camp of... If you are going to carry this trash, you can get a similar or bigger mAh charger with USB c and pd charging with a cable length of your choice and charge SIGNIFICANTLY faster that way. Aukey has a wireless charger and USB c output pack that will give you more options and less bulk. Wireless charging would be the same or very similar speed as this device.

I like the idea of a magsafe power bank (i.e. not carrying cables around), but I don't like that it's only 5000mAh. I wish it was at least 20,000mAh.

It seems like they are targeting attaching it to your phone while you carry it around, but who in the right mind would do it with this monster (I could see it with the Apple's version though.)

How much energy is lost transferring power from the bank to your phone wirelessly? Are you able to use 5000mah fully or just like 70 percent of that?

My take on this at the preorder discount is you're buying a USB C comparable magsafe charger while providing a little security that you'll still charge if your power goes out.

A little extra peace of mind for roughly the same price

This battery is charging at 7.5w not 15w like the apple magsafe battery one. This will take almost 3hrs to charge your phone using that 7.5 watts speed. Yuck good brand bad state of charging.yuck
