New Monitor wanted: Hold off until BF deals?

161 30 September 24, 2021 at 06:37 AM Best Buy
I guess the title says it all.
Best Buy has a super nice Dell 32 inch on sale right now for $100 off the normal $449 price.
I really want a monitor now, but am wondering if I could find a super deal come Black Friday.
(also.................fighting to get those deals could be a chore as well)
Should I just BIN or wait & see?

Monitor in question: Dell - S3220DGF 32" LED Curved QHD FreeSync Monitor with HDR (DisplayPort, HDMI, USB)

BF is only 2 months away; I'd hold off. I've noticed fewer monitor deals over the past 2 or 3 months. Maybe inflation is starting to have an effect. Hopefully some good deals will be available this BF.

Exactly. Maybe by BF the great deals might not be so great. (Thanks Obama)
$349 is still kind of salty for a monitor. I only have a mid-range game setup. Maybe I should look at something less

I set up a new 39" Seiki 4K TV as my office internet monitor 5-6 years ago, along with a $50 MSI GT730 4K fanless low profile video card at 30FPS HDMI. It's admittedly a budget setup, but it has really done well and I've gotten quite a few compliments on the image quality. I do a lot of parts and materials shopping, and the high resolution really helps me assess things that I'm browsing for online, and color rendering is top notch. Just the other day Walmart was running an Onn 43" 4K TV special on their app for $99. I guess my point is that you might be pleasantly surprised with the experience you'll get with a 4K TV setup for a monitor, instead of the more traditional (and much more expensive) monitor offerings.

I've been running a LG 50UH5530 (bad investment, LED strips die) and a PNY GTX 1060 6GB (great investment, crypto) for exactly 5 years, I'd say somewhere in the range of 6000hrs. My total cost was $600. I'm looking to buy a smaller monitor for movies and productivity. Looking back I should have have bought this https://www.lg.com/us/monitors/lg...ed-monitor

I guess I'm looking for essentially the same thing at half the price with the new features included.

My budget is $300, can someone help?

I'm looking for a better version of these 2 deals:

Where are the monitors?

Should I grab the 34" Samsung LS34J552WQNXZA 3440x1440 75Hz UltraWide VA Monitor for $249.97? I feel like I want 37" if going ultrawide...
