Best price I've seen on an adjustable 8" slim jaw (jaws machined extra thin for better access) crescent-style wrench. These are great for bicycle maintenance as an adjustable cone wrench, plumbing, and marine work.

You are correct, TU... well, it's actually 5.5" to be exact. I posted what Amazon had up, but I did purchased this exact wrench and just measured it. It's about 5 1/2" in total length, so it's definitely not 8" as the Amazon description states. I'm thinking the box that it came in might be 8 inches. Now that I've confirmed this, I changed the description in the title.

I agree, I just bought 2 of these, one has 24mm other 36mm opening, the one with red handle, supposed to be "classic" quality one (I forgot the brand now), and they look and feel really good on hand, and when you unroll it all the way, the "arm" doesn't just fall off, I saw the HD branded ones on shelves, you can't easily adjust with one hand thumb, I think this is like that or will be eventually, and not sure if it's holding in place or if the part will fall off if you unscrew too much.

Also you really want soft coated handle, this one looks like it's coated for advantage but seems like hard plastic? Can't tell, but if it's soft and comfortable, for people who need to use it rarely, might be OK to save, but I don't recommend short handle, you need some leverage, if all you want to do is stuff like shown in the pictures, you might as well get a set that comes with adjustable wrench for $20 at home depot and get more screw driver, tips, etc..
