Code must only for the white version. Tried with black and wouldn't work. Plus the black version was $2 might be why.

Dual Surge Protection: PowerExtend is equipped with not one but two 4000-joule surge protectors, ensuring continuous protection for your most sensitive devices during both small or large power surges.

That might all mean something for a power strip product that bothered to be UL-listed as a surge protector. This power strip is only UL-listed as a power strip (technically a "relocatable tap").

Given that Home Depot sells a 12 outlet power strip with an 8ft cord and surge protection for $16 all day, every day this Anker isn't even close to a sale, much less a slick deal.

Good luck!
Jon

Do you have a link to the home depot power strip? I can't seem to find it and really just want a simple multi outlet power strip with a longish cord.

OP, thank you for posting this deal.

i am big fan of Anker products. I wish mfgs (including Anker) would start putting USB connectors for charging devices in all the power strips. USB charging is not new.
Most of us end up plugging all sorts of wall warts into these power strips. Having some USB ports will help keep this strip less cluttered
