I hate the term "generator" with these things. It's a battery. It's not "generating" anything and will need to be recharged itself. It's a glorified UPS.
"This item is non-returnable, but if the item arrives damaged or defective, you may request a refund or replacement. Read full return policy [amazon.com]."
Yeah the fact that they call these generators at all is pretty deceptive in my opinion. They could be useful for a few extra hours of power for a computer, charging phones, or running a CPAP while camping for a night, but they don't have enough storage capacity to be really useful in an outage.

No you don't.

You have a solar panel charging a battery.
Just like when you plug it into an A/C adaptor or USB port.

Solar panel alone won't give you usb and ac power

I use this one to power pump to inflate my SUP and kayaks. This is the only power bank that can deliver real 10A for car charger port, which is needed for the pump.

I can inflate/deflate 3 of my Kayaks, 2 times and it still has 80% of the charge left.

We went camping this summer for 4 days, charging phones, inflating kayaks, using it as a light source at night, and when we came back it still had 50% of the charge left.

Why not use the car itself? You aren't walking far with sups and blow up kayaks and this 10lb pack lol

Can someone recommend an indoor safe generator:battery station like this to use for my CPAP for up to four or five nights? I have a Dreamstation 2 with heated humidifier. I've tried understanding what some on forums are saying to no avail.

I'd preferably like to find one that can charge via solar but I have no idea what I'm doing. Gonna grab a separate duel fuel for the rest of the house but wanted something like this just for CPAP and maybe cell phone.

If the power goes out, you can run it dry (skip the humidifier and heat).

Haven't tried it yet, but I bought a DC adaptor for hub's cpap. From what I've read, this will extend the time that will run off the battery. (But it is confusing and I got bleary eyed from reading all the lit/claims/reviews. I would be in for this deal but it is OSS.

It added to my cart, all the clipped coupons and codes worked. I went and watched one youtube review to make sure it wasn't trash. When I went to place order I got denied. 🤬

Amazon ran out of them.

You will probably want something with a high capacity battery depending on how many watts your CPAP uses per hour. Here is an option to look into, it is a 700 WH LiPo4 "solar generator" with 4.5 stars. You can order solar panels to go with it and recharge it during the day when not in use. the 700 WH capacity should get you a few days use on a full charge if you are not able to recharge each day.

Good luck in your search!

With this OOO, you can try one of these two as an alternative. Main difference, besides the price, is the capacity of the battery. The second option is a little less capacity and the first option is almost double your capacity. It will all depend on how many watts your husbands CPAP uses per hour and if you want/are able to recharge daily. Hope this helps and good luck.

Some panels have usb. Some of them even have a small bk battery or capacitor to carry over a cloud blockage, but yep no inverter.

Using an inverter with this one is going to be rough though. That inverter probably sucks up 10% of the available power just to run. I have a PS with a 400 watt invert but rarely use it and mainly stick to usb or straight 12 volts.

Not picking on the PS, this inefficiency is with all generators it's just that when you work with solar and such a small tank, you're going to feel it more.

These really are not great to run AC items. It's basically something to use with phones, laptops and power banks. I rarely use mine when it's not actively getting solar.

What's a good solar panel for this item? I'm fairly new to this I don't want to purchase the wrong solar panel.
Make sure the PS you buy has pass through charging (it can take a charge while in use). If it doesn't -pass, because you need to be able to mainly use the panel for charging- not run the battery dry and charge it back up later.

I built my stuff and I disagree with that expensive panel formerly recommended. If you goal is to have it primarily very portable, I would just buy a 20-30 watt standard mono panel and get an adaptor. It's much easier to set up (you don't have to unfold everything and try to level it or fiddle around "attempting" lol to angle it to aim properly), will last longer because it's actually glass and is ultimately less expensive.

That is for doing things like charging phones and such. I've been charging phones etc on mine for years. If you really needed a 100 watt panel for some reason, I think you're leaving the realm of portable and entering gas generator territory. I've used mine with 100w+ inverter load but not for very long ….like 30 minutes. These are too small for that kind of work.
