The 4 is only 7.5 watts on battery, while the 6 looks like 50 watts. Also the "woofer" is only 2.95 inches on the 4, and 4.72 inches on the 6. While the listed frequency response is the same on each, 50hz to 20 kHz, the larger speaker is likely to sound better.

I literally own both of them dude. Also read reviews. The 4 has more bass than the 6. But way to be an ass for literally no reason

I bought a replacement battery on Amazon and it stays charged longer than the original ever did. It has been over a year of cranking music while I shower in the bathroom with no problems.

camelcamelcamel reports used prices get as low as $190. Looks like a very slick deal.

I clicked thinking I needed it and then realized I don't. But I've heard prior versions of this speaker and think it would be great at $200 and that it is perhaps overpriced at $300. If I needed it, I would pounce on the $150 deal. I like the form factor as well. Thanks!

I have a 1 and 2 of these and both are phenomenal. If buying another my major factor would be battery performance. The 1 literally doesn't have a functioning battery anymore and the 2 lasts maybe 2hrs unplugged at reasonable volume.

Do we think the 6 is a better way to go purely because the battery tech might be better or even just because the battery is 2 years newer and less likely to quickly fade?

I have the 4, and love it. Works decently on battery, and I know that sometime in the future I'll have to replace the battery. Others in the past have said the 4 sounds better than the 6, but I can't confirm that. Perhaps I should buy a 6 just to compare......

I have a Onyx 5 which is near identical to 6 except 6 is weather sealed. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F5CoJB_xm2E, wear some decent headphones and you can get a good idea of the comparison to 6.
