Nice find! $1,235 shipped for open-box Excellent is mighty tempting. This is a 100w 3060, so perfectly middle of the road power at 4.2 lbs.: the Asus g14 is 60w at 3.7 lbs, and the Lenovo Legion 5 is 130w at 5.4 lbs. I'd probably rather have the Slim 7 than either of those...and they're both quite nice. Where we are with mid-tier gaming laptops in 2021 just astounds me.

Making it so hard to wait until black Friday...

I'd really prefer a 3070 though.

This or the one from Micro center for $1200 (3060, higher TDP and storage)? Any insight will be highly appreciated. Thanks

Light weight, portability vs heavier and better performance....Now it's your pick.

it does not. Only USB-C but you can use an adapter to plug into it.

That IS the reason you buy this over a normal legion.

Both have the huge 230w brick but the slim can charge usb c. And it's a pound lighter

Performance difference not going to outweigh the portability IMO.

For what it's worth this is the pure gaming version of the thinkbook 16p.

Same layout inside. Same battery. Almost same design. 16 vs 15.6. Gaming oriented screen and higher wattage 3060 everyone was griping about in the 16p thread

I'm considering returning my 16p for this.
I love the 400nit 16:10 display but less than 200 dollars more get the r7 and 3060 upgrade with the high refresh panel.

The vantage software in the 16p is creative focused. The legion version of vantage has the tuning options built in like asus' armoury crate

Debating on getting this or waiting for an asus zephyrus m16 or asus zephyrus g15 to go on sale. Think I should just pull the trigger on this?

Phenomenal laptop, bought it a month ago when it was $1349 + tax.

Replaced a gen 1 G14 4900/2060 and couldn't be happier. Battery life is definitely a downgrade but I don't use my laptop for hours on end without a plug nearby.

IMO, Lenovo is one of the better gaming laptops out there when it comes to quality and performance. What else would you buy, an HP???

In my experience better deals are had before BF. BF has been a disappointment the past few years.
