I used to shop at Rite Aid and Sears/Kmart and I have accumulated enough DS and other items. I feel like I do not need any more stuff (non-food items).
Since Rite Aid and Sears/Kmart are gone from my area, I stopped couponing completely.
I only shop at Costco (no coupon needed so less time consuming) and Safeway (digital coupons). I still get Sun paper but I do not even look at Sun coupon booklets.
There are CVS, Walgreen's and Target in my area but I just lost interest in couponing. I might start if we get more CVS stores. There is one in my area and it is not easy to shop at only one store.

Even then, the refund was approximately 10 cents short of what we paid, but by that point I had spent so many hours dealing with it all that I was DONE with them. And I'm usually like a dog with a bone to get everything we deserve,
Our high (9.75%) sales tax makes CVS less attractive, unless I have money cards. But I think all local couponers have gone to CVS b/c stock is always an issue.
Safeway is good right now b/c of some flyers with $1 off codes on store brands (check the SW thread if you shop an Albertsons affiliate). They've been replacing/reformulating some items and I have to say I am NOT impressed. When I worked for SW, the district mgr told me that the strategy on excellent store brands was to get people to come back. There was only one source for a store brand, where brand names can be bought at competitor stores.
Too bad Albies hasn't kept that standard.
I feel like it's time to stock the larder, batten down the hatches and crawl in my blanket fort for awhile. I've been buying meat for more than I used to. Sprouts hasn't had mark down stickers on their grassfed beef when I've been there for at least a month - there used to be SOME stickers whenever I visited and often $5 off a pkg under $10. I don't like Safeway's Open Nature grassfed as much, and the discount isn't under 30% off, but I've been buying it the rare occasions I find markdowns.
I got by on one insert for quite awhile, buying from CFM about 6 times a year (and finding that CVS lack of stock meant most went unused), the subscription went way up so we canceled. I have someone who gets inserts in free neighborhood papers & sends me an envelope each week, which is lovely. If not for that, I may have given up on DS entirely.
Brickseek for my local CVS shows a quantity of multiple Monogold in stock. I couldn't find it and asked the store to check using their RFU unit (the little red, phone looking thing they use). The RFU unit actually shows more in stock, but they checked the back and couldn't find any of them. It seems odd that someone would steal these.
It dawned on me, earlier this week I bought two (separate transactions/separate cards), but realized when I got to the register I only had one in my basket. I told the cashier I'd go get the second one after my transaction, but got a call and forgot to go back and pick it up before I left. Not getting it is not really a huge issue for me, since these have been a MM/ecb roller for awhile now. I'm wondering, though, is it possible the 'quantity' CVS and Brickseek show in stock was affected by me paying for two and only getting one?

It's just strange, because I can't imagine anyone wanting to shoplift Monogold.
