Found it at the following link. It's called Citi merchant offers.

Error: We are having trouble loading your offers. Please try again later.
Not sure, but on both accounts, it only showed the usual flex pay and other crappy offers they're constantly emailing about.

Would you keep us posted? I'd love to get offers.
Absolutely. After reading your note, I tried again in a clean Firefox window. Same error.

Chatted with a different rep. He was convinced that this error means I have no merchant offers available. I don't believe him. Smilie Sigh...

I'd try it again now. My offer showed up fine when I checked just now, while they weren't yesterday. I've seen this happen before. it seems that Citi takes a long time to refresh their offers and just takes the whole page down when working on it, rather than doing it overnight like actual professional financial websites. Pretty weak, IMO.

Anyone else get asked why you are buying gift cards by the cashier.. totally caught me off guard.. he said he was asking because there is so much fraud.. really invasive question
It's done to protect you. People fall for scams every day where the scammer calls them, tells them that their power is about to be turned off, or that it's the IRS, or you-name-it, and in order to prevent a catastrophe the victim needs to go buy $200 in Amazon gift cards and give them the card numbers. It literally happens every day.

Obviously that wasn't the case for your transaction, but cashiers are trained to ask questions to try and help unsuspecting victims to not get scammed out of their hard-earned money. Don't take it personally -- the cashier was looking out for you.

FWIW, I get the "Error: We are having trouble loading your offers. Please try again later." whenever I try and access the Citi Merchant Offers page. I suspect my Citibank AT&T Universal Card does not qualify for the program, but for whatever reason their site can't just say that.

One chat rep suggested that since I had already tried three different browsers that I should try the app instead. For kicks I did, and the Citi Merchant Offers doesn't even appear as an option in the app when signed into my account. I deleted the app. Citi's chat support is useless about these merchant offers -- they don't have a clue.

It's done to snoop on you and is uncalled for.

If I am buying the cards as a scam am I really going to tell the cashier what the scam is and how I intend to rip someone off?

you are missing the point. the cashier asks the potential VICTIM of the scam whether someone has instructed them to buy the gift cards to pay for something. They are protecting potential victims. This harms you in no way.

Welp, my online order for a $100 fitness tracker + two $50 GCs was split into two separate charges. The consensus seems to be that split charge like this won't trigger the deal. Any chance if I call Citi CSR and escalate, or am I SOL?

Bestbuy.com has 10% off doordash today. Anyone know if I buy multiple cards in one transaction if they split to separate charges? Thanks.

The point isn't that the buyer is the scammer, but rather they are being scammed by someone else.

Do you mean it took 10 days to show the credit on your citi account? Does that happen to be after the close of your statement?

Also how long did it take to show the status as redeemed on citi merchant site?
