fwiw- For the 3/8" version of this torque wrench, there are 3 reviews and they're all 1 Star.

Fast forward to the 10 minute mark to see how it adjusts. It's still basically a Click-style wrench. Apparently they were sellling for $50 last year.
took a look at the HF one, and it looks like it is currently listed @ $175, even after 20% off this one seems like it would be cheaper.
Can't speak to quality of either, but I did remember seeing in the news that sears had closed down its last store, so not sure where you would be able to warranty this.

Now, Harbor Freight and others sell a digital torque adapter [harborfreight.com] with tone in 1/2, 3/8, and 1/4 inch drive and +/- 2% for $29.99 that seems to works decent. The next time a coupon, I may pick one up. The earlier models a few years ago had some issues that seem to have been resolved. My Snap On guy has similar in truck to test torque wrench calibration, but will have to check who makes that one.

Thanks.... I have not seen it in person, but now have a new store that is a lot closer than prior. Gearwrench [amazon.com] also makes one, but unless a bargain, I don't really need one that badly.
We have a full set of Snap On clicks and the 1/4" drive must be 40 years old and used a lot for curtain wall pressure plate setup (glass walls) to adjust positive clutched screw guns twice a day, still within specs. According to the factory, the key to longevity is to unload them after use with just a touch of tension.
Nevertheless, I would like to have an accurate audio digital torque adapter for testing when I want to, but the one from HF [harborfreight.com] in my prior post has a range of 29.5 to 147.6 ft. lbs, which on the low end would be 354 in lbs and a bit high to test calibration for 1/4" drive torque wrenches. AC Delco [amazon.com] makes two sizes, with the smaller at 14.8 to 147.6 ft-lbs, but is a bit pricier. I may set some notices on the 3C's for price drops.

According to MSN money [msn.com], the last store in Illinois was closed with apparently still about 35 stores open. Since the Craftsman line was sold off with Lowes now selling same, like you, I have no idea about warranty on Craftsman electrical items should the last Sears store be closed.
For this torque wrench the warranty is for one year (commercial usage is 90 days) with required proof of purchase, but "Contact Customer Care for details" is a bit vague. Do you send it in for repairs, who pays for shipping, do they replace with a new one, do they refund, etc.?
