Having had a few propane models, none of them are as versatile as the Coleman dual fuel [homedepot.com] stove that can actually use white gas, unleaded pump gas, small or large propane bottles with an adapter. And it has a metal lid with metal windbreak wings that you can close while even still a bit hot.... like if it starts raining. The last one I bought was $100 on sale, but like everything else, the price keeps creeping higher. My Dad has a single fuel that must be 50 years old. If the power goes out and no propane bottle, no problem.
The same with the Coleman gas lanterns except none I have use propane... all white or unleaded gas. Hang one from a tree on high and it will light up the whole campsite.

Have a 5 year old kenmore grille and after 2 years the whole bottom rusted off it.. getting sick of messing with the 2 cookie sheets I made a new bottom out of.
I like the griddle idea I'm usually either cooking for 2, 4 or 20 depending on the weekend.
Of course, it is limited.
Use a griddle, cast iron skillet, etc. on the more versatile Coleman. Five gallons of unleaded pump gas will last the Coleman about 40 hours of cooking time with both burners on high that has more total BTU's.
Griddle plate + Coleman white gas is more flexible. Inefficient way to boil, stew, fry, gridele only.
this unit does have a oil drain spout.
