I think that high risk.. and I mean I don't think voyager will give u $ back if your acc is hacked or stolen. Coinbase did nothing when 9000 accounts got hacked. Bank at least u can get ur money back cuz ur protected.

TMobile checking account gives 4% up to 3000$ if u use their debit card 10 times.

I don't want to be forced to spend.. so I elect to just get 1% on my checking $. Crazy that a checking pays more than this "high yield savings".

Parking 10k in a checking acc that gives 1% isn't really a bad deal.. consider Goldman and all the other only gives 0.6%

Too salty. Take it with a grain of salt then. It's a casual forum.

Not saying crypto is bad. Just explaining the risk involved. My account got hacked on Gemini and Coinbase.

Luckily I made 50k from the hack since the hacker bought btc for me at 10k price and didn't have the time to wire it out. I pretty much had a margin on Gemini USd for a good 9 months. But Gemini was also banking on me to pay $ back . I was technically liable for this fraud which I didn't commit

Gemini was going to force sell my btc to cover the negative USD account.. even though I told them it was fraud.

I'm pretty sure voyager, coinbase and crypto platform has the same attitude when it comes to your accounts being hacked. There's risks in staking.

That's the real risk that one has to bear for that 9% yield.

The risk level for crypto wallet compared to bank acc is high. Whatever it's 10k

I just did this deal and the SoFi one as well

the SoFi one, the SD extension icon was blue on my chrome browser extension area (top right) and there was a SD pop up box on the right side as well.

this one for AXOS, the SD extension icon was gray and there was no SD pop up box

I hope I am not screwed. I guess I'll see in a couple of days to see if everything registered in the Accounts History of SD rewards.
The extension issue is being checked by SD staff and will be fixed shortly. If you followed the instructions in the post, you will receive the $75 bonus.

Once again.. it's fdic or not .. I hate this "deposit acc vs investment acc" .. chillax.. it's 10k. I have a good 7 digit in investments.

Last.. it's Roth IRA.. why would u put money into a retirement that costs $ to take out now?

Find a good fdic that's higher than 1% these days. What's your alternative for fdic, no risk up to 250k sole owner account.

Obviously don't know the difference between an IRA and Roth IRA

I have a account with Axos for about a year now and they are a legit and excellent ebank. I like how I am earning interest on both the checking and savings and not to mention reimbursement for non network atms very nice perk.

Ok explain to me the difference lol .. I said Roth IRA is retirement money. Do you even know what the word "IRA" in "Roth IRA" stands for?

You're comparing a retirement account with a 1% FDIC account.

It costs money to take out from Roth IRA because of penalty- 10%. It May be tax free (after certain age) because it's after tax money and grows tax free for Roth.. Obviously special circumstances allows you to withdraw penalty free.

You're talking to a licensed investment rep here

https://www.investopedia.com/ask/...lty%2Dfree.

Not sure if you're just trolling or uneducated but be my guest and invest all your money into Roth IRA and expect to take it out next year . You sound too young to do that penalty free though Wink
