Deal History
Deal History includes data from multiple reputable stores, such as Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. The lowest price among stores for a given day is selected as the "Sale Price".
Sale Price does not include sale prices at Amazon unless a deal was posted by a community member.
I got on this deal but got the circular saw as the 'free' tool. I have several M12 tools so the 2x 6Ah battery will be great. However I'm not sure if the circular saw is powerful enough or can last a typical DIY weekend project.
To those who owns the M12 circular saw, is it good enough to handle weekend home projects? I mean I'm not a contractor and I don't see myself building a whole house or a huge deck, but not sure if ac12v battery can be useful for weekend DIYs.
Is the M18 better for circular saws?
The M18 circular saw provides way more power vs. the M12. It also will allow more extended use since they fit a much larger battery size.
If you are deciding on a tool that is naturally power hungry (like circular saws, hacksaws, sawzalls, multi-tool, grinders, blowers, wet/dry vacuums etc) it's always better to go the M18 route vs the M12 route if the tool is available in both platforms. The M12 version for these types of tools will work, but they will have limitations due to providing less torque/power and less runtime.
This is still possible to do in store. Just check at check out that the 2 items show the discounted price.
Also (from the above post I have listed above) it seems the rocket light has been available under a better deal and these deals do keep coming up on a cyclical basis.

What the price of the better deal of the M12 rocket light?
Apparently I managed to procrastinate myself into not buying something I didn't need to buy, even though I'd really like one. Still not a bad price at 106 or whatever it comes out to after "hack" but 15-20 bucks more than it just was makes the SD'er in me walk away.
This is a "hackable" deal for either battery kit or worklight.
Click link. Select the work light and add both to cart to see reduced prices.
Battery Kit includes
2x 6ah batteries
1x m12 charger
Battery kit hack total = 104.76 (when using store 1055) + tax
Worklight hack total = 94.24 + tax
There are other free tools in this promotion, but the higher-priced items yield a lower overall price for the Battery kit which is the slick portion IMO.
I am not seeing the option to not ship to home for the work light which is kind of a pain (have to return in-store). I tried to cancel just the light and the option was not available.

Take a look at this thread. The price raise is often temporary for a few days while they normalize in store inventory.

So the good news is the price has dropped again as happened the last time this came up. Right now, for the Newall CA store, it's showing $94.24 for the light

I've used my M12 Rocket light a couple of times recently and man did it burn through my M12 CP 3.0Ah batteries quick. It wasn't really a problem since you can hook up an extension cord to it though.
Anyone have any thoughts on whether getting the M12 6Ah 2 pack on this deal for $120 after hack is a strong deal? I don't really need the M12 charger (I have tons) and much prefer the M12-M18 dual charger to the M12 charger alone but I rarely see just the M12 6Ah battery 2 pack on sale for better than this.

That's essentially 2 for the price of 1 at "full retail". Typically the big boxes don't go much under 100 for a straight up sale of 1 pack. In the secondary market you can get them for 80ish each. 60ish each is about as cheap as they're going to get on anything resembling a regular basis. 10/ah is pretty typically what my "goal" cost is on tool batteries. Anything below that is a big win. If you were willing to sit on your investment you might be able to buy the deal and then sell the rocket light for more than the return value once the sale is over and the other flippers sell out. Or in the past I've even just bought the deal, put the item i didn't want on marketplace quickly for a "good but not great" price and if I can pick up a significant extra $$ sell it there, if not I just return it before the window closes to return.
Looks like the price is the same everywhere now, the stock availability is dialed way down on store pickup though. I don't know when this deal officially goes live in store but sometimes they seem to do this before the actual ad flyer hits and then they come back in stock online over the weekend. Also you're not helping me not buy the things, lol.

I can confirm the deal is already live in store - I saw it by the check out line on 9 Oct.
