tbh i have switched to eufy and i couldn't be happier, yes they dont make a thermostat but for all my cameras, including my doorbell i switched from Ring to Eufy and couldn't be happier, i hate paying those subscription fees. As far as thermostat's go i have the nest thermostats for about 6 years now and it has worked flawless everytime even when im half way across the country for work travel
Miles behind in build quality and ascetics. The nest look much better, have a nice feel to use, and a great display.
The only thing that is nice about nest is that it is on one platform. Other than that it is ok, but still has annoying stuff that I'm sure others have. The biggest thing I hate about my nest thermostat is that it only has 4 times of day where I can automatically change what temp sensor the thermostat works off of. The times are something like morning, afternoon, evening, and night. It's annoying. Sure I can change it manually anytime I want, but I should be able to schedule that. Also, if you get the cameras they show up in alphabetical order on the app, there is no grouping or rearranging them unless you strategically name them or do thing s like "1. Front yard, 2. Backyard, etc...". That's annoying because there are 3 cameras separating my front yard and backyard cams. Also, it is pretty expensive for what it is. With that said I do have the nest alarm system waiting for me to install.

Looking for recommendations. I currently have an Ecobee thermostat and a Ring alarm and doorbell. Moving to a new place. Wondering how the Nest ecosystem compares? It might be nice to pick one platform to unify under for the next place. I like the ecobee and ive gotten used to the ring. Ring meets all my expectations but its not a smooth interface and a little clunky at times.

Just stick with ring. I have Google but ring is cheaper and it works well enough. Ring also has integrated alarm and more things that integrate directly with that.

I like that nest has 24/7 recording, but if already committed I would stick with what you got.

i don't go by looks, i go by functionality. ecobee has more options to tune your AC for optimal performance. nest, like all other google products, is sub par
