I just ported 2 lines today to the magenta max plan ($70/line) and will receive sim cards for my current phones this Friday to make it official. I saw that if I have two lines I can add a third line free because the plan comes to $47/line. I have a S6 laying around that I can add as the third line, if it turns out to actually be free, correct? My main question tho is I plan to take advantage of applying for the rebate where they pay off the remaining balance of your phones soooo… is this a Costco promotion or a T-Mobile promo? Can I stack both promos? Can I come out on top with both my phones paid off and a free Costco GC?

Did you receive rebate of $300 each already and then you closed lines? Don't we need to keep lines active for 3months?

Yes I received the gift cards. I signed up for 2 lines in June and got the cards a couple weeks ago.

Just for info.......they have this promo almost always. It renews with a different expiration every week or two. Allow 14 weeks for rebate, means plan for 4 months of service, and if you get the cards in time to cancel after the third paid month, consider it a bonus. Remember, for this offer NO PORT REQUIRED, it is BYOD only, and you have to pay for your sim cards. No experience but have heard that with eSim capable phones you can avoid that fee (I think $7.50 per sim).

I have few free lines in the past. If I sign up this new line and we close this line after getting the $300 gift card, will it invalidate my free lines?

Or cancelling this will not affect on my past free lines?

Can you use it with the senior plan for 2 lines for $55 a month? My parents have been meaning to switch to save!

I guess this is a great deal for those who were going to switch over to T-Mobile. The other way to think about this, though, is they are only paying you $300 for a hard pull on your credit. I guess the deal is better if you can get $600 to move over two lines, but in general I feel like you should get at least $500 per hard pull on your credit.

Still a good deal and glad that OP posted it, even just for FYI purposes.

Applied for this promo on June. They printed and gave the sheets. But the Costco entered same imei number on both sheets.
So i applied for one online and for another one, I went to Costco and asked. The person said it doesnt matter, but i wasnt sure. Then we lost that paper, so i went again to Costco, but he couldnt get the rebate form reprinted, so he said he will request for the 300 rebate form.
I got the email saying the 300 is approved 3 weeks back. But i never received the card. For the one I filled online, i got the card. Fingers crossed.
Even if i dont get the other 300, i will leave the lines closed on next bill cycle and may be moving to Cricket as Tmobile has terrible connection inside our house.

So if you are opening the lines, take a photo of the page they print for you, make sure IMEI is exactly matching with the numbers/sim you put in before leaving the shop. If i was careful for a min, could have avoided these many back n forth with Costco. But the customer service at Costco is the best so far. May be I just need to sit tight.
