It took 4 hours and 53 min before I got a warning flash that the battery was low. It flashed every min for a total of 25 min before it shut off (yes, the flashing got annoying). I didn't know it gave a warning flash, which is nice that it doesn't go out without warning.

Again, it was a full 5ah 20v battery on the medium setting. Total run time was 5 hrs and 18 min.

I always use a 5ah 20v and usually use the dimmest setting because it's still really bright.

The last time I used it, I finished my project after 1.5 hours then shut it off. So I don't recall how long it can run for.

You got me curious so I plugged in a fresh 5ah and turned it on the medium setting. It's been going about 1.5 hours at this point. I'll update you how long it takes to kill it.

The ability to have an option to plug it in with an extension cord already exists in the dewalt eco system on the work fan. Love that it can do either. Should totally be on a product like this.

I have one of these and I love it. Purchased it at full price ($200 from HD) and still think it was worth the money.

I use mine all the time in Minnesota as the sun stays down longer. It provides great coverage and the batteries last much longer than you would expect. I find myself using it all the time because of it's portability. When it's folded up, my friends like to joke that this thing is a light cannon to fight the army of darkness.🤷

I wish I had an excuse to buy another because this is a great deal.

Reviews complain about going through 20v batteries like crazy (45mins) on highest setting. However, a few hrs on 60v 6ah flexvolt battery.

What are you using and at what setting?

This light is great. By far, the biggest annoyance with it is that you cannot plug it in. Obviously a move by Dewalt to force you to buy more batteries.

I went with a DEWALT 20V MAX LED Work Light, Tool Only (DCL074) since it has a lot more uses than just a work light for me. My friend has this tripod light and while I own almost the full 20v line of tools, I went with a $60 tripod work light instead of this one.

That DCL074 is just insanely amazing. It will light up a full room and batteries last a decent time. I also use it as an outdoor campfire from time to time when people are outback drinking so we don't have to mess with making a fire.

Or it's a move to give the customer a big cordless light, like the rest of their cordless line of tools lol.

Have had the light for just under a year (purchased from Coastal Farm for $119.99 thanks SD) use it every chance I get. Will burn through a 12ah battery at high setting in 5 hours. I typically run 9ah and 12ah batteries as I only run this on high. Fantastic light, highly recommended.

I thought the biggest they had was 4ah at 60v, which would be 12ah at 20v and should power this light a long time. 18ah would be awesome.

I think they may make a 12ah 60v. I know they have at least a 9ah at 60v. The batteries are stupid expensive though.

Pretty sure not all their tools are cordless. Even the fan is hybrid (battery or corded) do you even Dewalt?

I'm pretty sure those are 12ah and 9ah at 20v, and would only be 4ah and 3ah at 60v. But it would be great if I was wrong.

Looks like a better product in regards to b lasting longer and 2000 lumens brighter. Depending on your use you can't direct the light like this one.

I agree with you that the item you suggested is built better. Thanks!
