If they sell for $170 new, where are they getting the $350 pricing from? Is that original msrp?
I prefer to base value of a deal off of what they sell for now, not what they originally sold for.
Huh, they support aptx low latency, which is a pretty rare feature (I don't believe the Bose or Sony headphones do). It's a useful feature if you're using these with video content so you don't get that weird delay between seeing someone's lips move and hearing the words. It's also pretty much a must have for gaming with Bluetooth headphones.

You'll probably need a separate Bluetooth transmitter to use it though. As far as I know, no phones, streaming sticks etc support the codec natively. In my case I use a little type C transmitter that's almost flush when inserted. It's designed for the Nintendo switch, but works with my phone, laptop and chromecast with Google TV (with a type c hub). It also allows 2 headphones to connect at the same time, but if they don't both support AptX LL then it's disabled on both while they're connected.
Right so per RTINGS.com:

Bose QC35 II
Weight: 0.52 lb
Clamping force: 0.69 lb

These Sennheiser PXC 550-II
Weight: 0.51 lb
Clamping force: 0.8 lb

Bose 700, which I sent back for being too uncomfortable as a QC35 II user
Weight: 0.58 lb
Clamping force: 1 lb

AirPods Max
Weight: 0.85 lb
Clamping Force: 1.2 lb

At this point I would not even consider the AirPods Max. That is 170% the weight and 150% the clamping force of these Sennheisers.

That's the major I'm looking for in headphones now. I thought that QC35 is not that great at switching unless I decided to change them to something else and to my surprise mostly all of other headphones are not having this features at all! I have 2 laptops, phone and home media center I'm using headphones with and it is a MUST HAVE feature.
According to https://www.reddit.com/r/sennheiser/comments/9oby4q/pxc_550_device_switching/ [reddit.com] - you can connect multiple devices and they will automatically switch to one outputting the sound which is very annoying - notification from laptop will switch it to the laptop when I'm trying to listen to the music from the phone.
I tried both QC35 and PCX 550 II. Both works well on switching devices, but Bose is better because it has a physical switch for changing the devices and it also announces by the name of the device whenever you switch devices. Sennheiser only tells you Phone1 and Phone2, so you don't know which device is Phone1. Also, Sennheiser is too sensitive: When I working a desktop PC (or Mac) while listening to music on my phone, it automatically switches to the desktop whenever the dektop makes system sounds (like notifications), which is annoying.

I have multiple in the same retail price point (don't ask why). I like it more than the Jabra 85h but not nearly as much as the JBL Club One. You can probably pay around the same for new on an eBay auction if you can wait. I just paid $113 for a JBL Club One new that I gave as a gift. One thing I love about the PXC 550 ii is it is very lightweight and comfy. The JBL is heavy. It's well built so it's fine for lengthy listening but the Sennheiser is easy on the head.

I have seen this issue before in desktops. Sometimes the PC Bluetooth just sucks. I finally got a Bluetooth dongle. Since then, my connection and performance has been rock solid.
Totally agree, I got the Jabra 65 Evolve Headphones / Mic with the 365 Link dongle - they do connect to my work computer Bluetooth without the dongle, but it's sooo much better with it, plus that's a really comfortable headset (took advantage of the Amazon Warehouse 40% off Slickdeal and got them for $71). I'd love to have a pair of Sennheisers but I'm really really happy with the Jabra's for work, and they seamlessly switch back from my phone to my work laptop whenever I need to.

I don't have any interest in putting on my head or in my ears, some devices that have been sitting on someone else's sweaty head or drippy ears.....that being said.....

Just came here to comment that I bought these new from Amazon around $160 a year ago and love them. I couldn't see paying up for Bose, and I'm happy with these. Wanted a closed back design to crank up the music and not be bothered, or bother others. These deliver !

I had this issue as well with other Bluetooth headsets and I found out updating your PC's Bluetooth drivers fixes the issue

How is the noise cancelling strength? I'm looking for some around this price point with better than QC 25 noise cancelling capability. I'm fine with 'meh' sound quality.

These are great headphones, I owned them for about a year. As much as I would love to say the NC is good, it was a 7/10 at best. Not to mention that if you have a bigger head these squeeze a little tight and would give me headaches. Although the build quality is better than QC25, I swapped to QC25 and they are more comfortable with better NC. You just lose a little build quality and bass in the long run.

I'm going to immediately test the auto-switching feature between my Pixel 3a (music streaming) and my Windows laptop (Teams). If there are any issues, I'm shipping this thing right back to the seller because it will be worthless to me no matter how great the sound.

These are exceptional headphones. Best bang for the buck 100% and nothing even comes close in this price range. Touch control features on right ear cap are simple and intuitive, fit is great, replacement cup pads on Amazon all day for 15$ (and they last forever) and the OG PXC550 were amazing too. I miss the silver trim of the original 550's and the soundstage button but all in all these are 100% my go to travel cans.

App is also okay, I never messed with it because the factory settings a rock solid imo

I agree that updating the driver should always be the first option. In many cases, it will fix the issue.

I probably should have clarified that you should order the dongle after going through these troubleshooting steps. I just assumed it had been done since it was now to the point of using a cable connection.

But there have been a couple of cases on a desktop that this and host of other troubleshooting steps did nothing...and I had to go the dongle route.
