Never again you'll see the trade-in an S10 and get the Note20 Ultra for $286. Best deal I've ever gotten on a device with no plan/contract involved.

Careful buying from Walmart.

They ran this exact deal back in August and I pulled the trigger. They ended up sending me a stolen phone which AT&T naturally refused to activate. Had to return it and by then the deal was over and Walmart wouldn't honor it on a replacement phone because it was carrier-financed. The best part is the whole transaction caused a fraud investigation on my AT&T account.

I ended up buying an S20+ directly from Samsung when they had it on sale instead, but even if I was still looking for a phone I wouldn't buy from Walmart again. Horrible experience.
Wow that is crazy

I have a friend with both Att/verizon. Can they order for me to use on sprint if I pay the whole thing off immediately?
Go do the upgrade on your Sprint account yourself in-store if your local Walmart sells Sprint and you don't have an excluded plan national retailers can't touch.
Quote from Spikemaul07 :
Walmart is only charging tax on the actual purchase price of the phone ($600). Don't most mobile retailers like best buy charge tax on the full MSRP, when you get the promo kicked in on the front end..? (as opposed to bill credits)
Surprisingly, Walmart is more honest than other national retailers (like Best Buy). If you read the installment agreement, Walmart sells it as some (discounted) price split into monthly payments, and tax on the actual amount. Best Buy sells it as MSRP less a downpayment they make on your behalf (the sale/promotional discount), but you pay tax on MSRP. The most dishonest place to buy a phone, carrier stores and dealers, just outright shackle you to a 2-3 year contract in reverse under the guise of "bill credits" and you pay tax on MSRP.

I'm new to ATT and Verizon. If I open a new line with either of them, then pay off the phone, can I have the phone unlocked right away so can use it on Tmobile? TIA

Is there a way to get this/pay in full if we're tmobile customers?

wayyyyy too expensive for me for a phone thats more than a year old.
My current phone is over 3 years old, a Note8. Getting 3 generations newer with half-off and 0% for 36 months sounded great to me 👍 Plus, this is still the newest Note...

Everyone recommends this one. Expensive IMO, but there is currently $10 off - https://www.amazon.com/Galaxy-Not...695&sr=8-8

I did not use a glass, one - not sure how pen works and fingerprint sensor with one

It's not, he's talking about a previous deal that required a valuable trade-in. This is actually a better deal when you consider what the value of the trade was...

The poster is talking about Samsung.com likely unlocked version, the discounts fluctuate all the time

Sometimes Samsung discounts phone and than EPP/EDU discount and some people create a new account and a 5%, and while there trade in values fluctuate - there are times when they are quite good - so like $286 + 5% + EPP discount + $5-600 trade in gets you higher than $600 - not sure if CB is factored in that price
  • I could not get 5% to work, however my price was $323 net of $600 trade in for My Samsung - so in other words, that puts the Note 20U ultra at $923 before trade for unlocked version, a little less because the EPP would calculate on higher amount
  • It included $50 accessory credit from Samsung store and I have $50 pending cashback (not super confident it will be paid).
  • I also got them to issue a $30 store credit to offset the lack of earbuds, this was an alternative to 5% which actually only equated to $15 because they base it on value net of discounts

Rumor it will be released in February , with an S21 FE released in January, delayed due to chip shortage

Yeah, that will be a good phone likely , better processor, more ram, no sd card, the SD card is annoying anyway , because you have to remove the sim tray to insert/remove it, I like the design on other phones. with the rubbery latch

- wondering what trade in deal they will have for the Note Ultra $600-$700 id not unlikely , especially for preorder

Also there's a $35 fee on future bill to be aware of with Verizon.
