Though I'd wager this is quieter than most dishwashers at 47 dB (plenty of older models can reach 50-60 dB which is about as loud as dishwashers get) note that if you're shopping for a true "quiet" model you should be looking for sound ratings at the low 40s or lower.

So if you're seeking a model quieter than your current unit your probably on the right track. If you're selling a model optimized for quiet opossum this probably isn't your best choice.

The comments saying "no thanks, will wait for a KitchenAid" are hilarious. Whirlppol owns KitchenAid and they use basically the same internals/parts. Only difference is the KitchenAids have extra features/gimmicks that are likely to break or cause problems.
