M1 Max will be more powerful with 1/10th the power draw.
These things can barely run on battery with those GPUs.
I love it for video editing and that's it. No games worth playing on the Mac. What's the point with the power when hardly any games to take advantage with. Macs are only good with video editing.

Coding, video editing, workflow, etc. not everything is measured in gaming.
Newegg rats you out to the IRS for out of state use tax. Plus the whole owned by a puppet company of the Chinese government. Keep that in mind who you do business with.

There's no need since Newegg collects sales tax directly for most states now related to case law dealing with economic nexus. See South Dakota v. Wayfair, Inc (2018).

In practice, M1 is an overkill for anything more than video editing or some machine learning or simulation work. Coding (even with multi-threading set in Xcode) doesn't give significant benefits over a similarly cored Intel if you have as good an SSD. Did direct tests with M1 and Intel based Mini equivalent. Good for bragging rights though on paper specs.
The advantage high-core, large memory Intel laptops have right now if you can convert it to a Hackintosh, you can run VMware Fusion and run multiple OSes at the same time (including different versions of MacOS for app backward compatibility testing during app development) with cut and paste between them with graphics acceleration. At half the price of Intel based Macs.
I have done this with a i5-9600K workstation as my main machine and currently converting a i7-10750H laptop for the same purpose. I can just take the nvme drive out of the workstation and plop it into the laptop and take it on the road with the full environment of the workstation available with all VMs. This does more for productivity than the Intel vs M1 differences.
Avoid Gigabyte at all costs. If their products ever need warranty service, they will further damage it intentionally and claim it was shipping damage. I've had this happen twice now, on a GPU and a motherboard in the span of 3 years. Others have also reported similar stories on Reddit.
thats messed up. could you link the reddit pages? i would love to read it.
