I have two of these devices and I absolutely love Android TV and this device is a great value but yes, it locks up on me all the time. I'm constantly having to unplug it and plug it back in order to get it working again.

This is the best value android tv 4k box out there. It has a stock android tv launcher and can even flash LineageOS on it.

It's installed in mine, but I've had it 4 or so months. Pretty sure it was in the play store at the time.

Prime Video is now available on the Play Store.
Prime Video is available for Google Nexus Player and Mecool Boxes (both have Android TV) but not for Onn TV Box. I got mine from apkpure.com
Prime Video: Version 5.6.4-armv7a.
Package name: com.amazon.amazonvideo.livingroom.
I probably could have taken the APK off of my Nexus Player or Mecool.

I'm gonna return mine and stick to the good old Android TV box and/or Samsung DEX. I use an old Note 9 with the main TV and the experience is top notch. Seriously, who can put up with this Android TV crap?

I was nearby a Walmart in NJ and decided to stop in to look for the Onn even though it says out of stock on Brickseek. They had one left so I took a chance since i can return it within 30 days.

I own the identical Dynalink and wasn't thrilled with it. It was laggy in Stadia, it hiccupped when watching content in Plex on occasion, and would randomly turn itself on in the evening.

I bough the Onn anyway and I'm kinda glad I did. It seems more responsive all around than the Dynalink. Stadia is working well, Plex seems smooth, the menu responses are instant, and setting up my IPTV app is a breeze with the "send files to TV" app. For $20, I'm happier with the Onn than the Dynalink that cost more.

This is pretty good for twenty. I'm upgrading old Chromecasts (1st and 2nd gen). There's VLC in the Store that can handle steaming from shared drives/folders on your network.

Dynalink is fully updated. When I put in the Onn, I used the old power adapter and hdmi cable. The only thing I can figure is that either Onn is better with firmware updates and internal settings, or the Dynalink is a dud. No device should be able to turn itself on and other people in this Onn thread mentioned that they too have seen the issue with their Dynalink.

For any of you who have added the USB storage for this, and set it up as 'internal storage' - after doing so, can you then download episodes from Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, etc., and watch them offline?

I was hoping this would be a cheap way to do this, but so far no go......

I wanted to add that I'm using the Ethernet adapter I was using for my firestick and the onn box recognizes a wired connection.

Well, after the repeated insistence that the latest update made a huge difference, curiosity got the best of me and I picked one of these things up over the weekend. I've been putting it through its paces for the past few hours, including setting up an unused 32gb SD card as internal storage, and so far it's been as advertised. With the Dynalink version I didn't even get through the initial setup process without it locking up, the Onn has yet to do so. It's definitely lagged at times when installing and updating apps that I've moved to the SD card, but seeing as how it's a slower media than internal storage that's to be expected. Only other annoyance is that Prime Video is MIA as others have mentioned, and hidden in the Play Store, but easily worked around by side-loading from APKPure.

As far as I know, the Dynalink hasn't received an update since May and is still plagued by lock-ups and waking itself up. We'll see how things go with the fully-updated Onn, but early returns are encouraging. Guess the right software makes a world of difference even when the hardware is identical.
