any comments regarding the built in wifi and this bridge one ... obviously the built in wifi is probably better but anyone have any knowledge the bigger difference that they might have seen hands on ?
So, I have the Wifi bridge (external WiFi) version (Fingerprint and number pad). My bridge is about 2-3feet away from the lock, so I don't see the Bluetooth issues (yet?). I've been using this door lock for the past 2months. So far so good. The reason I went with the external WiFi version (besides cost) was some Amazon reviews mentioned that the battery life with the built-in WiFi dies down quicker than the version with the external WiFi bridge. Of course, there wasn't much mention of how much quicker (eg. 50%? 25%? 10%?).
As I mentioned, I have the version with the external WiFi bridge, and I plan to get the built-in version when holiday-shopping/sales start up for another door on the house. Then I'll have direct comparison with performance between the two version. But my guess is by then, Eufy will have another version out Smilie

On a side note/gripe - I find it silly that Eufy didn't design the WiFi bridge to accomodate more than 1 keypad/lock. So if there were 2 or more doors with the Eufy lock, it would consequently need 1 WiFi bridge for each lock.

Are these easy to hack into? What happens if the battery dies?
I have the external WiFi bridge version. There is a small micro-usb port on the bottom of the number-pad (ie. from the outside) to which you can plug, say a back-up battery charger to to give it a little juice to get inside. The other option is to use the Eufy custom key (ie. likely not able to reproduce the key at local locksmiths). In our package, we got 5keys.

I already have a wifi range extender. Will it be compatible with this smart lock? Or does the lock only work with that wifi bridge coming together?

Any reasons why the built-in wifi over the external wifi bridge?

On a separate discussion, any comments on waiting/hoping that Amazon discounts it for holiday shopping, which includes what seems to be the new colors available (nickel, silver)?
Battery life. Wifi uses more power than Bluetooth/zwave/zigbee

Had this for a few months now. Pretty much the fingerprint scanner is pretty hit or miss for me. And I've even made 3 fingerprint saves for one finger just so I don't have to keep fooling with it and still sometimes doesn't detect accurately. I usually resort to pressing in a code or if I have enough forethought to open on app before getting out of car. I wonder if their going to update this model for better detection because I do enjoy the concept.

Costco has a buy more save more deal now too, $40 off 2, $80 off 3. I need 2 locks (front door and garage door), and I was going to try the doorbell too. So $520 total, for 2 wifi locks and the doorbell.

the external wifi bridge is not an extender. As I just learned from another post, the WiFi bridge communicates with the padlock via bluetooth, and then routes communications over wifi through your WiFi network. So, if you plan to enable the WiFi capability of this particular model, you will still need to use the external bridge; the padlock will still function via BT, numberpad, or figerprint without the WiFi bridge enabled, if so desired.

Bought at $169 last week, and the lock just arrived today — only to find out it's now $11 cheaper. It's covered under the Price Lock Guarantee, so I got a refund for the difference from Newegg chat:
