I'd be careful with these sunscreens from Banana Boat and the larger companies. A lot of them contain levels of benzene that cause cancer. Others are getting recalled all together, including their aftersun aloe gels.
Stick with a mineral sunblock, as it stays on top of the skin. Titanium dioxide and zinc oxide are the ingredients you're looking for.

Yep, I was getting ready to say the same thing. I've used Coppertone for a few years but recently found out about the known carcinogens in most major brand sunscreens.
ill add another warning.... spray on sunscreens stain things. particularly plastics. particularly fiberglass, aka fiberglass boats. was out on a boat and the captain saw me pull out a can of spray on lotion and he politely told me not to use it and offered me his lotion instead. ive since found out that the spray on stuff can stain all sorts of things.

They don't even work. I still burn myself after reapplying it 3 times at the beach and i'm not even white.
AFAIK, the recalls were specific lot numbers of specific brands. Those that think Banana Boat is affected, should post recall links like the one below for Coppertone and Aveeno/Neutrogena:

This sprays or the mineral sunblock?
Hello Bello makes a good one that is dark skin friendly. Usually blocks leave that white cast, but this one is good.

Cheers,
Cheers,
Yes clothing that has a tight weave in the fabric is the best option.
As far as the mineral sunscreens they've made them better but if you're not slightly white they're not doing anything
Cheers,
Wise choice.
Wise choice.
Oh and my hands don't burn and only a fool would use 30 on their face.
