You're referencing the T-Mobile deal? There is indeed a standard process by which the line level credits are migrated to account level credits so that you can continue to receive them on a monthly basis.

Trade-in devices will never come back. No matter where you do the tradein bestbuy, verizon, att, apple etc etc..

Try incognito and add it to the cart first, then they will ask you if you want to upgrade and send the confirmation text, then you select pick up option. If you try to do pick up option from the beginning you may get that error.

I have some 11s I'd like to trade in and upgrade.

The 11s are on the credit plan.
Do I need to pay them off first?
I only have 2 more payments left.
Should I just pay them off first and then upgrade to avoid any problems ?

For those of you that upgraded and turned your phones in, did you turn
in your phone and box and or just the phone?

I had a hard time trying to pick up the 13 Pro for my wife in Miami, the guy was new to this store (but former BB employee from another city). Even if was a pick up, he had to run it like an store sale and he was getting the $700 trade in price, after calling to he expert and waiting 40 minutes, he was able to finish. The paperwork I signed still show $700 but he was told to continue that the other $200 will come from T-Mobile. He did open the box and did the transfer and I told him there is no need because I already wipe out the information (so nothing to transfer) but he wanted to make sure it was activated. He game me the old sim card (per my request) and I left. I got home and try to make a call and nothing... so I put the old sim card and the line is working again, lets hope they don't call me later to tell me they did something wrong.

Traded in a X and picked up 13 Pro for my son. It took about 15 minutes in the store. Came back home and realized that the phone wasn't able to connect to T-Mobile network, send/receive text message or make/receive a phone call. Called 611 and spent about an hour before it was resolved. He's a happy camper!

I'm not a TMO customer, ordered online for store pickup and chose "Create new Account" with TMO. Traded in my phone, CSR gave me the sim card etc. and didn't activate in store.

Phone is unlocked and I was able to use my Mint Mobile SIM in it. Does that mean I can skip over all the T Mobile stuff and avoid paying a single month and then cancel or will this bite me later?
