You're referencing the T-Mobile deal? There is indeed a standard process by which the line level credits are migrated to account level credits so that you can continue to receive them on a monthly basis.

Good luck!

I keep getting this error over and over, they let me order and then after I order I get

"We were unable to activate the device you purchased on our site, so we had to cancel the item(s) included in your mobile package. We will now begin processing a refund for your payment."
I noticed I only had 1 number showing in my account on T-Mo's website that showed eligible for upgrade. Not sure why since all of my phones are paid for. I just tried another order using that number and see if that's why the other order was canx.

The amount of crazy posts here is crazy. It is rare that anyone would even give a $1 for a WORKING Iphone 6 - but one that no longer works - .. amazing
Yes, just as bad as the reading comprehension in this forum...
I said iPhone 6S which is not $1. And there are websites that take broken phone for parts....just asking for any experience basically.
Trade in values
iPhone 6S is $185

I'm not a TMO customer, ordered online for store pickup and chose "Create new Account" with TMO. Traded in my phone, CSR gave me the sim card etc. and didn't activate in store.

Phone is unlocked and I was able to use my Mint Mobile SIM in it. Does that mean I can skip over all the T Mobile stuff and avoid paying a single month and then cancel or will this bite me later?
Curious about the same thing. Best Buy just called me and asked for the serial number because they didn't activate it yesterday. I was like "it's working fine" but she said I'd have a problem activating in a few days.

So far, it's working fine on Visible, and I'm hesitant to give them the serial in case that will *make* me have a problem. The SIM lock screen says "this may be carrier locked" but not sure to which carrier!

Nothing should happen as long as you keep the line with the promo. T-Mobile will continue to bill you for the remaining balance monthly and you'll continue to receive your promotional credits.
What I'm more interested is if you traded in an EIP device for a fully paid device. Does that mean your new phone can be unlocked even though technically you didn't pay it off fully

My phone was actually locked but worked because Mint Mobile is on TMO. If you go to Settings -> About you can see the carrier lock status and my phone said it was locked to sim restrictions.

I tweeted to TMobileHelp and they unlocked it for me despite the fact that it wasn't eligible yet, as requirements stated that I need to be on TMO for at least 40 days.

I now ordered a second device with the same account for trade in that I will be picking up later today (ready for pickup already) and do the same thing. I'm hoping to be able to cancel the account right afterwards and avoid any charges with TMO that way

It didn't for me either, unless I just went into BBS website and started from scratch.

There are no devices available for in store pickup, am I able to place an order online and receive the trade in credit? Asking since the checkout page shows the original price of the phone even after I went through the trade in option.

Question, If I keep using my old Sims and don't move service to new sim cards, will there be any potential issue in future?

I suggest placing another order to snag that device. But that's the OCD side of me talking. That side did help me get my Pro Max.
Thanks you were right. Order was ready this morning and was able to get both Pro Max phones I needed that way. Happy to be through checking inventory.

No one here has a concrete answer. Play it around everyday at BB website and you will know if the promotion is still going on or not.

Correct that you can unlock the phone but the 13 is fully paid for via bestbuy even though the 12 wasn't. And I was able to unlock the phone. I have no intent on leaving T-Mobile and if I did I'll be responsible for any outstanding EIP.
